"There is no such thing as safe, only safer than other places." England grumbled under his breath, aware that none of them seemed to care. They were already giving him a headache, though, with all their yelling, so when he was handed a bottle of beer, the reflex overwhelmed him, and he popped the cap off, tipping the bottle back and chugging down a little less than half the bottle. He instantly felt like throwing up, but let the burning course down his throat, pulling out the more impulsive, animal side of him.
He then noticed New Zealand, and made a move to get up and protest. He wouldn't allow such a young country to participate in these kinds of events, especially not one of his former colonies. Poor thing, it wouldn't do to get him plastered in these kinds of conditions.
"New Zealand is a bit young to participate, don't you think? Leave the kids out of this." he commented, his grip still strong on his drink. Once he started, he couldn't stop.

Canada looked over at England and said "Isn't New Zealand around 170 years old? Why would he too young?" Of course, New Zealand looked around sixteen. He could see where England would be concerned. New Zealand could be considered his younger brother since they both used to be british colonies. He had never really thought about it that way. However, New Zealand was his own country now, he was old enough to know right from wrong.

((OOC moment is difficult to suppress. Deal, if it is XD))
A little surprised when the younger nation bounded towards him, especially during what was the start of a drinking contest, Russia took a second to respond. "Da, I am, little one. Of course! And thank you for the comment."
Turning slightly towards the group who had been trying to be discreet about questioning whether putting New Zeland on the same team as him, he asked "Why don't you trust me? I hope you're not trying to get rid of my teammates~“

Malayia was a bit orried for NZ. Her new friend going to drink? Thats weird! He is just a kid!((In her eyes that is)) "Er... Um... I want to change groups!" Malaysia said in a bit of regret. She wanted to protect NZ in case Russia, which is surprisingly her friend, tries to do something bad to him. Not that she doesnt trust russia, well a little, but she cant really allow NZ to drink beer/vodka right?
Anyway vodka is nice too... Malaysia walked to NZ and sat down beside him.

"It's not really that we don't trust you Russia, but New Zealand is rather young, that's all." answered Canada. "We don't want him to hurt himself." Alright, so maybe Canada didn't fully trust Russia, but the other country didn't need to know that. He wasn't trying to make enemies, unlike a certain American in the room. It would do no good to have Russia as an enemy, especially since most of the people in this room would be drunk soon, maybe including himself, and would be very vulnerable. In that state, Russia could do just about anything to them.

New Zealand crossed his arms and shouted "I'm right here! Don't talk about me like I'm not here. I can make my own decisions, because I'm an adult and I want to be on Russia's team." There, that should get his message across. He wasn't a little kid anymore, he knew right from wrong. Russia didn't seem like a bad guy to him, and now he had Malaysia on his side.
"You don't think I'm a kid, right Malaysia?" asked New Zealand. He hoped she didn't just change teams because she wanted to protect him or something. No, it had to be because they were friends, and friends stick together.

"Hey, how come you guys are joining Team Stupid over there?" America asked indignantly, before grabbing his own beer bottle and taking a swig. Seeing as how England had instantly started drinking (despite all his complaining, he sure was quick), America figured he might as well, too. He wanted to prove that he could so totally hold his liquor better than anyone. That and England would get drunk very soon, and America wasn't sure he wanted to be fully sober for that.
And, before he took another gulp of the alcohol, he said, "Um...maybe New Zealand shouldn't drink. Or, at least, he shouldn't drink all that much. Alcohol can harm little children." He nodded, raising his eyebrows before bringing the beer bottle back up to his mouth and drinking some, throat burning as the liquid went down.
He had forgotten how both amazing and disgusting beer was.

((this is gonna be short!! Sorry!" X( )) Malaysia stared at America. Was he serious? Cant he tell it is to protect the young nation? Well, America was always happy-go-lucky and not so... Um bright. So thats explainable
"Well um..." Malaysia paused a while. She always saw NZ as a child. "I think you are a teen, thats all!" Malaysia said, trying.to force out a smile. It was tough lying.

Norway put his head on Canada's shoulder. This was going to be a long day. The Nordic looked at the drinks and decided to make the best of the moment and drink. He grabbed a bottle and took a sip, he didn't want to get drunk. It burnt when it went down his throat but it was a good burn. He smiled a bit and handed the bottle to Canada and asked, "would you like some? Its pretty good and doesn't burn that much." Everyone seemed to start the drinking so why couldnt Norway?

"I'm not a little child America! I can do whatever you guys can do too!" argued New Zealand. Before anyone could say anything more, he grabbed one of the bottles of vodka, opened it, and took a big gulp from the glass container. When he finally removed his lips from the bottle, he yelled "Ah! It burns!"
He tried to resist the urge to throw up, and put his hands around his throat, trying to get the burning sensation to go away. He didn't know that alcohol would burn his throat like this. It hurt really badly, but he had to continue drinking. His team was counting on him, and he really wanted to win. Besides that, he had to show the older countries that he was just as good as anyone else here. "See, I can drink too. No problem."

Patting New Zealand's shoulder, Russia commented, "Slow at first, da? Wait until you are used to it before doing that~" knowing that drinking it that fast probably wasn't a good idea. He'd never really had a problem, but could vaguely understand where the young nation could be coming from. It also didn't help their chances of winning if one of their teammates was going to do that every time...

((I have just learned that Malaysia and Singapore both uses singlish!! :0 shock of my life siah)) Malaysia was worried for NZ. She could tell that he was trying to prove himself. But if he continued he might burned his throat too much and get drunk. Well seeing him drunk was... Was... Just weird.
"Just dont push youself too hard ah?" Malaysia said worriedly. She doesnt want NZ to push himself too hard in winning. She can tell just by looking into his eyes that NZ was determine to win the competetition. She patted the youn country's head. Malaysia looked up at the cream hair tall conutry. She never understood how they became friends. But since he was a friend, she should at least trust him. "Dont let NZ push himself too much... Kays?" Malaysia asked Russia, practically whispering to him. She really hope that he can help NZ.

"But, I can drink just as much as you guys can, so you don't have to be worried. I can keep up just fine!" said New Zealand. Why were they treating him like a child? Sure this was his first time drinking vodka, but that didn't mean he couldn't keep up with everyone else. He was sure that he could drink at least as much as Malaysia could, they were both teenagers.
He knew that he couldn't drink too much, then he would end up getting drunk. He never wanted to be that vulnerable, nor did he want to know how he would act aftering drinking to much. He would make a complete fool out of himself. "So, when does the party start?" asked New Zealand.

America stared worriedly over at New Zealand. Sure, they were technically all adults, based off the ages of their countries, but New Zealand still had the physical appearance of a boy. The alcohol would affect him so much more than it would any other nation in the room. He watched as the kid took a gulp of beer, yelling about how much it burnt, and then watched as the others on Team Stupid comforted him.
Why the hell were they trying to encourage him to drink?
"Don't drink as much as everyone else," he said, raising his eyebrows at Russia. "And you, you fat vodka-drinker, need to, like, make sure your team members are of the right age. I don't think New Zealand is." He glanced over at his teammates for support.

Malaysia was worried for NZ. Even though he is like 150 years old and above, his human age shows that he is just a teen, and its those teens that cant drink! " Um... NZ I dont think you should force yourself into this..." Malaysia said worriedly at him.
There was no way she will allow him to drink He's too young
