Pfff, look on the bright side; Spain's much older than Tina. Tina doesn't even have the right to say "I'M AN OLDER NATION THAN ALL OF YOU HAHAHAHA."
She's really pretty young. Not, like. Extremely young, like Sealand, but...
...You get the idea.

Considering Romano was taken under Spain's wing after Grandpa Rome's time, and Tina was "born"/found by Spain shortly after Spain took custody of Romano, I'd say she's only really heard stories about him.
Although, the Inca Empire, whom Tina (As well as much of the rest of South America) is a reincarnation of, would've known much of him.
Technically, Tina is old, but only because of the Inca Empire. But then again, she wasn't really herself, and neither were the other nations of South America who were once in the Inca Empire. Again, she was "born" after Spain conquered the Incas.

And that's where things get complicated. XD In my headcanon, all the Ancients were the parents of the modern-day nations (like Hispania is Spain and Portugual's mother, Gaul is France and I think Belgium's Father, etc) so they were all reaaaaaaaaaaaaally little back in Grandpa Rome's day. That's why one of the main things Spain remembers about him is stories. Because how the hell else are you supposed to entertain a little kid with a penchant for getting in trouble? XD So I think the same works for Tina/Meri/Mexico/etc as well. They were all raised first by their 'ancients' and then by the other nations. :3

Yeah it's the same with Egypt, he's only about 128 years old but that's not including Ancient Egypt (whom was his mother) ... I don't even want to begin to guess how old she was... >A< She was around when Grandpa Roma and Germania where around... (and was a love interest for Roma ... that's a canon fact!)

....So Spain killed Tina's daddy. (I haven't made an Inca OC, but I think that the Inca Empire would've been a man.) That's lovely.
Not like she remembers him, anyway. XDD
So, if you think of it that way, Tina, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, and Ecuador are all related, in a way. They all shared a "daddy". XDD

Yes. He deeply regrets doing that. ;n;
Yep. Same with Spain and Portugual. They're directly related because of Mama Hispania (and I don't care what that DA artist says; HISPANIA IS A WOMAN AND GAUL IS A MAN. DO THEY SOUND LIKE THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE REVERSED GENDERS. NO. THEY DON'T.)

Hispania and Gaul do sound like man and woman. Huh.
Yeah, Inca sounds kinda general, but I can see most of the powers in the world being men, due to gender rights. Especially the more ancient nations. Which is why Hetalia is comprised of mainly men.

Hispania sounds feminine (WHICH IT IS IN LATIN) and Gaul sounds masculine (that I don't remember).
I think Inca sounds manly. o3o But that makes sense.

As disappointed as I would be if there was a canon Argentina, it would be interesting to see how Himaruya would write out Spain conquering the Inca Empire and taking in the colonies as his own.
