Ma means mother in Chinese. It also means marijuana if intoned rightly. Here, their Ma is one and the same:
Someone who can not be shaken off when stressing situations prevail and something that would nurture them to what it determined was healthy even when it itself was contaminated and full of dead things.
China ambled through the hallways with a (frustratingly) dainty limp. In this state England's imaginary pony could not so much as sneeze on him and China's knee-bone would brake.
When he saw them, however, the corners of his mouth steepled into a gutsy grin but all in a flash, sombre amendment assessed their state.
"You both look like you were blown off the Burj Khalifa," he blurted, "and survived." He said abashed with amazement. Softly uttering 'aiyah'.
From time to time it was better to die after falling off the tallest building on earth.
China's hands were entwined cob webs that he'd found in the peak of a stubborn conniption earlier (for not trusting any of the doctors here) but nonetheless he reached out with sticky palms, grabbed each brother by the shoulders and looked them over before pulling them tight to his core. Shoulders quaking with siffles he'd want to hang himself for later.
"You scared me half to death!" He cried to chastise them both but only ended up sounding weak and craven, with ailed hollow cheeks. "Hong. I hope Yīngguó doesn't have anything to do with your lateness, aru!" He pouted with a quivering bottom lip. This guy desperately wanted to kick that Brit in the shin.
... Sometimes kids, Ma is neglected. In the end, no rehab can excommunicate your mother.

Hong Kong chewed on his lip, not trusting himself to reply coherently to China. He was still annoyed at Korea for...well...being Korea. and his foot was slowly becoming numb. Uh oh. A faint voice in the back of his head wondered if there was someone who knew how to treat 'Injuries that somehow happened from repeatedly kicking a door.' Hong Kong could taste blood in his mouth, and realized that he had bit his lip without thinking. Great he thought as he followed his Brothers and Prussia, who were laughing (At least SOME were) as Korea tried to "Claim" China's 'breasts'. Again. He quickly swiped his arm across his mouth, hoping that it wouldn't bleed anymore. "N-no. My lateness isn't due to England. He doesn't have anything to do with it. Someone else however," Hong Kong looked pointedly at Korea, "Does."

Korea, noticing Hong Kong's look, gave him a look that read 'Wha-at?' and shrugged his shoulders. Technically, he had gotten there first. Meaning that he had already been there when Hong Kong had arrived. So, the blame could be placed on Hong Kong rather than him. Korea leapt over to Hong Kong. "Oh but how could it possibly be my fault?" He thew his arms around the smaller (not) nation and tugged on the back of his hair, making Hong Kong's head jerk back slightly.

Hong Kong winced. Why did his brother have to be so...touchy? fot the third time that day, he pushed himself away from Korea, struggling to get out of the barely taller mans' grip. He sent a pleading direction down the hallway, wondering whether or not anyone would save him from the Dim-Wit's grip.

"If I wasn't in crutches right now, aru," China glared pointedly, but he was patient enough.
"Korea, let go of Hong Kong, Hong Kong don't tempt him, aru," he snapped to them like they where his sons, adjusting himself in the suspension.

Korea pouted and released Hong Kong, then scooting a few feet away from the smaller (not) nation. He looked around the warehouse once again, taking in the general area. "Hey...where do you think we are gonna sleep, Hong Kong?" He turned back to Hong Kong at the end of his question.

Hong Kong saw his Brother's glance, and shrugged apathetically. "I wouldn't know. I've been here for as long as you. Maybe you should go annoy someone else for a change," He walked faster, over-taking Korea in the hallway, and catching up to the other two before turning to look back, "Like...uh..."

Korea, getting the message, left Hong Kong and China alone, wandering off to find 'somebody else to annoy'. Who to pester, that's the real question.

((My friend only started to use the word 'pester' after homestuck. You wouldn't by any chance...?))
China wondered aloud if Japan had ever made it to Canadian shores.

Hong Kong glared at his brother, before strolling off to find out more about his new "home." 'home, huh,' He though with a sigh. When he thought of home, all he could think of were large crowds and flashing neon signs and the mixing smells of many different cultures. But he knew some where, that it was likely that he would never see his beloved home again. Readjusting his bag, he walked on.

"Wait," China reached out a hand and brushed Hong Kong's shoulder, "I'm not going to ask about the rest of the family," he shook his head when this was shot out, concience stricken and stroking his pony-tail remorsefuly.
When he spoke he met Hong's eyes with an unwavering gaze and the hold on Hong Kong's shoulder was without need.
After looking weak for so long it was striking to the backdrop, "I'm not trying to sound what you'd call 'rasist', aru, but I don't want you mingeling with the deep-set eyes. They're going to start seeing the truth, aru. I warn of what's coming, aru."

When Hong Kong was stopped by his brother, he had wondered what China wanted to talk about with him. but after his words to him, Hong Kong nodded. Even if he don't quite agree with his brother's point of view, he still understood where he came from. He too, had thought in the back of his mind, the exact same thing. He stared back into China's eyes brown eyes. "Don't worry 哥哥, I know. We can never be too careful."

China couldn't stop himself from smiling. It was a self-blaming thing with barely any tooth but he gasped, so content of getting that off of his shoulders he nearly felt like throwing the crutches to the side and bounding to hug the three nearest people.
... But that was stupid. Instead he widened his grin to the point his eyes weren't open anymore and bowed to Hong in thanks.
"You're a good brother, aru~!" He cheered,"I thought I'd have to..." he stopped. Whatever military methods he was about to de-veil, China stuck a sleeved hand to his mouth and looked apologetic.
"You should go find Korea, aru. He needs you more than you want to think, aru. Don't worry about me. But be fragile with your carefulness, aru," he pleaded with his eyes.
Or else China would have to take proactive mesures.

Hong Kong shrugged slightly, wondering what had gotten his brother so...touchy? His lips twitched slightly at the other man's smile, as it (almost) never failed to cheer him up. He stood staring at the smiling man for a moment, then turned around once more. 'How far down the hallway will I get this time? I've been stopped by the Dim-wit and Brother, so now....'he swiveled his head around just a little to see the only other person standing in the darkly-lit hallway. He raised an eyebrow, as if daring him to stop his flight.

China shuddered with his arms rapped around himself before falling into the couch, sitting with the shakes.
This place was wrong all over.
He stopped short, what if he was being stalked? He was a carnivore, a nation of four thousand plus. What was he doing sitting around like love sick teenager?
His fist clenched and cracked, "they better be ready for me, aru."
'Kill as many zombies as possible to clear the way' was that not their motto.
He slammed his fist into his pack, finding a wrench and scrap metal he found in the great lakes on the way. Now he needed an energy source. Destroy their brains and they were goners? Elementary dear Watson.
He grabbed the pieces in his hands, letting them slip from his fingers like salt and putting them back. With a hoist to crutches, he made his way out. Eyebrows pulled together for the whole way.
