"Yes, it is Zombies" Hong Kong replayed. He wasn't sure if the elder nation had heard him but he didn't bother repeating himself. They both knew it was Zombies. 'What else could it be, he reflected, some form of killer-bunny'
When he felt himself being lifted upward, he could hardly suppress a sigh of relief. At least he would be facing peril he could fight.
Then, he felt the ground in front of him give way. The earth fell on top off him and he could feel his grip on Wales's arm slowly slipping. The teen struggled to hold on, to keep himself awake. But when his body connected to the ground, all thoughts of staying awake disappeared in a flash of white.

Wales came to with a start. He looked around frantically, jumping up from his supine position. There lay Hong Kong, on his back. they couldn't have been unconscious for long, then--neither of them was zombie food.
Wales wandered over to Hong Kong and poked him with a toe. "Hong Kong!" He hissed. "Hong Kong, wake up!"
Wales patted his breast pocket and sighed. "Oh." His face fell. Somewhere in his fall he had lost the picture he used to comfort himself in desperate situations. He sniffled.

Hong Kong came away with a start. He sat up quickly, then fell back again even faster. 'OK, so that wasn't a good idea,' he pondered. He looked up at his companion, who looked as if he was about to cry over something. Again.
'Marvelous.'
The teen wondered if it would be alright to just sit there for a few more minutes. But even HE wasn't that lax. The Scout knew that the best idea was to get going as soon as they possibly could. He sat up again, slowly, making sure not to use his one injured arm. "Did you injure yourself?"

Wales shrieked and jumped when Hong Kong spoke. "HONG KONG!" he yelled, forgetting his photo. "You're alive! What if you had been DEAD!?" Wales flung himself onto the Asian, wrapping his arms around his reluctant friend and nuzzling his chest dramatically. He winced as Hong Kong's sharp bones dug into his wounds from the fall.

Wales's over-enthusiastic hug did not help him get his breathe back, neither did him yelling in his ear. He sat up a little more, pushing the man off his (still sore) body with a rough push. Now, with that weight off of him, he could sit all the way up, rubbing one eye groggily.
"I wouldn't have died. We're Nations, remember?" It seemed so obvious to him. Why did Wales always over-exaggerate things? His next question was almost as stupid as Wales's was; He could tell the second he said it:
"Are you injured?"
Yeah, because he wouldn't be injured after plunging off a rather tall cliff.

Wales sniffed, rather miffed by Hong Kong's impeccable logic. Still, he didn't have to go rubbing it in people's faces, did he? What if, by some FREAK INCIDENT OF NATURE, poor Hong Kong had been killed, and Wales left all alone in the woods with ZOMBIES? He'd make Hong Kong his first victim if he became a zombie, that was for sure.
Wales shivered just to think about it. "I'm fine," he mumbled, crossing his arms and sulking. He considered asking after the other Nation, but decided against it. After the way he had been treated, Wales felt that Hong Kong deserved to suffer a little. Not a lot, they were friends, and suffering makes it harder to protect your friend from zombies AND OH MY GOD ZOMBIES--
Wales was tired. He got even more frazzled and spazzy when he was tired. And now Hong Kong got to deal with it.
Poor Hong Kong.

Hong Kong watched Wales with growing horror. The man had been silent for almost thirty seconds. That couldn't be a good sign, as it probably meant the man was going to explode. The mere thought made him shiver unconsciously. But he had to break the silence before Wales could work himself up too much.
"Uh, Wales?"

Wales pouted and kept his lips sealed. He began walking in a direction that he decided looked most inviting--a difficult decision in these foreboding woods. If Hong Kong didn't believe in absolutely impossible freak incidents of nature, such as Nations dying, he didn't deserve to be Wales's friend. Until it gets dark. Then, Hong Kong can be Wales's Best Friend For Life.
Wales dislikes the dark.

Knowing it was useless to go after Wales, Hong Kong continued to sit in place, metaphorically twiddling his thumbs. He could wait until Wales turned back to the clearing. Unless he ended up so lost that he had no idea how to get back. Sighing again, the Asian stood up and walked in the general direction Wales had been headed. He hoped that he would catch up the the man before one of them got lost.

Wales wandered quickly and sulkily, fuming about Hong Kong's confounded smarts. Tch. Maybe Hong Kong had died, and what then? WHAT WOULD WALES DO WITHOUT HONG KONG? What if he was lost in the woods alone? With zombies! And no friends?
Wales looked around frantically for the other Nation, worried once again that he might die because of some freak incident of nature. "Hooooonnnnnnngggggg Koooooooonnnnnngggggg!!" He squealed, now running and very, very frazzled.
So frazzled, in fact, that he didn't notice the other Nation until he ran smack into him, knocking both to the ground.

Hong Kong groaned. For the second time in a very short amount of time, he felt himself fall backwards onto the ground. At least this time the fall wasn't off a cliff. Still, it was tiresome and was getting on his nerves. Slightly. He sat up, pushing what ever stray leaves had fallen on him and looked over to where Wales was. At least my reasoning was correct, he thought, and we managed to meet up again. Not even bothering to ask if the other nation was all right, he started off again. The sky was beginning to become ominously gray, and he really did want to not only be lost in a forest with Zombies and Wales (Which is worse!?), but soaking wet.
