America watched the scene with great relief, his features softening when Molossia took the crab. Well, that worked. And his hugging didn't. The superpower ran a hand across his face, now feeling rather embarrassed. Okay, he was officially an idiot. And he knew he thought that quite a lot, but he really was this time around. He shouldn't have been trying to comfort him in such a manner. He should have know that the only things that could calm Molossia down would be an animal or some sort of plant.
Not hugs. Molossia was never a hugging-sort of guy.
Messing with his hands for lack of anything else to do, America sent Eastport a quick smile, trying to show his gratitude, though he stayed back from the two micronations. It seemed Eastport was doing a fine job in calming Molossia down, and America certainly didn't want to screw that up.

Eastport slowly let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding. "Yep. That's his nickname." He gently put his friend into the other's hands, despite all the telepathic protesting by said creature. "Thanks." He smiled, taking the compliment as a cue that he can keep talking. "And I can; it's why we get along so well 'n he trusts me. The only time it's really come in handy though - other th'n having a partner who responds t' your questions - is when I'm in danger out at sea an' c'n actually get some help."
He sighed, remembering the one time he actually needed his ability. He had been out on his boat late at night far into the ocean to get away from his siblings. He hadn't known at the time there was a huge hurricane headed his way. Although he had Henry by his side, he wasn't listening to the little crab when he tried telling him to go back and kept pushing forward, determined to get as far away as possible. When he couldn't see land anymore, the hurricane hit. He had been fine in thinking it was a normal storm for a while, until he was caught on deck trying to repair a sail when he was thrown off the side by the beginning of the eye wall. The only reason he was still alive after that was because a pod of dolphins heard his call for help and kept him buoyant and safe until the hurricane weakened. It was a cheesy ending, so no one believed him other than Henry who was actually there. But Eastport still was convinced that without the dolphins understanding him, he would've drowned.
"It's not somethin' others believe easily, though. My brother still thinks I belong in a nuthouse an' think me talkin' to Henry's proof'a that."

"Well," Molossia gently held his palm open and began caressing Henry's shell with two fingers on the other hand. "I guess it's not somethin' that's too believable.." He mumbled, glancing back and forth between the two. America looked embarrassed, and Molossia didn't blame him. He, too, realized that he had gone on a fit like an annoyed five-year-old. It was something Molossia swore up and down to forever keep in the back of his mind and never speak a word of it. To anyone.
"...If either of yas speak one word of this ta anybody, I'll have yer heads on a silver platter! G-got that?!" Molossia barked, but his eyes behind his glasses showing a faint insecurity and fear. "I-I'll kill ya both before ya do!"

Realizing that Molossia had calmed down enough for America to start speaking again, the elder nation stepped up, grinning down at the creature in Molossia's hands. "Speak a word of what?" he asked, shooting Molossia a quick wink before glancing back down at Henry. He had no intentions of telling anyone what happened. He knew that, not only would Molossia try killing him (keyword: try, because America knew he was stronger), but it would be so wrong. Poor Molossia would be even more humiliated, and America didn't want that, not now, not in a hundred years. Nope, Molossia's problems were his problems, and no one would interfere.
"Hey, he's a pretty cute crab," America said, bringing a finger up to pet the crab's shell. "You said his name was Henry, Eastport?" He smiled up at the other micronation, knowing that Eastport wouldn't tell a soul of Molossia's fit, either. the kid might have been rowdy, but he wasn't mean or cruel. "I think he's taken a liking to Molossia. He looks real swell." If crabs could look swell, anyway. Still, it seemed like the right thing to say. He didn't want to focus anymore on his own little mishap (he still blamed himself for making Molossia blow up- there was that line he crossed, a line he never meant to cross). Nope, he just wanted to move on with life and become friends with Molossia once more.

I kinda like this guy, Leon! Sure, he was kinda a dick at first and I nearly killed 'im myself, but he's not too bad now!
Eastport avoided saying anything to Henry in reply because he KNEW that would've been taken the wrong way by Molossia. "Yeah, but it's my life." He shrugged, winking at the brunette whom he now officially considered his uncle. "And no problem. Us micronations gotta look out for our own, right?"
OI OI OI! LEON! THAT BASTARD!
Eastport's pleasent conversation with the other micronation was cut short as he barely got the chance to warn America before Henry's powerful claw clamped around his offending finger. The feisty animal only liked certain people and clearly America wasn't one of them. Probably because in his little mind, he was a villain as he did nothing to break up the fight between his family and Molossia. "HENRY!"
HIS FAULT!!
"It's so NOT his fault!" He growled, flicking his crab in just the right spot so he'd let go. "Sorry, Dad. Henry's not usually like this... IS HE." His blue eyes glared holes in the crab's back while he pulled him back into his own hands.
Come on, ya know I don't like it when people do that!
"Ya let Molossia."
Totally different story!
"Same story!"
The unusual pair continued to bicker, completely forgetting they were in the presence of normal people.

Molossia found himself confused at first when America stated he had no idea what Molossia was talking about, and simply winked in his direction. He was the least bit slow when it came to things like this.
Gradually, what America meant came to him, and Molossia found an unwanted presence of even the tiniest sliver of a smile on his face. "..Yeah..." He mumbled.
Even Molossia tensed up when the little blue crab clamped his claws around America's finger when the superpower nation got too close. He just stood, watching silently as Eastport (seemingly) argued with himself. Had he not explained to Molossia that he could talk to marine life, the shade-wearing micronation might find him to be mentally unstable. Although, Molossia was still not positive about what Eastport had said, and wasn't quite sure whether he believed him or not.
"Hey.. fellas? Calm tha hell down!"

America had been minding his own business when Henry the Crab suddenly clamped his claws around his finger. "Ow, shit!" America hissed, pulling back once the crab let go. He ignored Eastport's apology and held onto his throbbing finger with his other hand, staring down at it. Unfortunately, it looked as if the crab had broken the skin, if only slightly. America's eyes narrowed and he quickly stuck the finger in his mouth, trying to get rid of the pain.
When he glanced back up, he noticed Eastport in an intense discussion with nothing. He was instantly reminded of England and his imaginary friends. Which could only mean Eastport probably took after England in some way, shape, or form. Either that, or his story about talking to his crab was true.
He took his finger out of his mouth an examined it, watching the blood rise up from the small wound, before finally saying, "I'm alright, Eastport. Just a little boo-boo is all." He grinned then, letting his hands drop to his side. "Now I know better not to mess with the little guy!" Of course, that brought up another good point. "Why doesn't he like me? Was I petting him wrong? I just copied Molossia."

Eastport gave a pointed glare at Henry before pretty much repeating America's question. He'd been dying to know as well. "Yeah, explain. NOW."
The little crab seemed to huff and probably would've crossed his arms if he was human. I didn't like him.
"You didn't like him?" A blonde eyebrow raised and he threatened to throw the animal at the ground.
Yeah! He didn't do shit when you and the brunette guy where fighting! He just stood there and watched, the bastard!
Eastport used his free hand to facepalm, dragging the appendage down his face slowly. "Henry. It was a mock fight; he was making sure we weren't gonna kill each other."
He still didn't do anything!
He sighed, massaging his temples. "As ya might be able ta piece together, Henry didn't understand that the fight was mutual 'n that you were the ref. He thought that ya were jus' watchin' 'n felt like doing nothing." As an added measure, he went on but twisted it a little bit. "And he's sorry for pinching you- OW!!" In retaliation, the crab did the same thing, only earning a deeper glare from Eastport as he fell to the floor. "Y're lucky I don't cook you inta crabcakes, mister."
Duly noted.

Molossia cocked his jaw. "That crab really.. well.. talks to ya.. Eastport?" He questioned, watching Henry carefully. Molossia decided to note to be careful around Henry and not pet him wrong or anything. "I guess he's jus' lookin' out fer ya, then?"
He was surprised Henry had attacked America, and not him yet. At least, America was treating Eastport much better than Molossia had been, throwing his fit, initiating arguments, throwing swings at Eastport...
...Well, you get the idea. The point is, Molossia wasn't doing anything that would deserve the blue crab's trust that wouldn't earn America the least bit of respect.
Molossia decided to slap himself across the face later, when he wasn't in the company of others. He felt as though he were losing his marbles, actually concerned of what a sea creature thought of him, compared to America...

America blinked. "Huh," he muttered, staring down at the crab. "Strange." He glanced up at Easport, his blue eyes muddled with confusion. "So, like, is this a skill England taught you when I wasn't looking, or are you just making up excuses as to why your weird crab bit me. Pinched me. Whatever?" He waved it off, staring back down at the blue crab. Henry, so his name seemed to be.
And America realized that he didn't exactly believe that Eastport was speaking to it.
England had told him plenty times before about his fairies and strange friends, but there was no proof of that, just as there was no proof of this. As much as America wanted to trust Eastport, he found it hard to believe there were talking crabs. Of course, if Eastport was sure that he could talk to marine animals, America would start believing.
No. He'd start believing now. Eastport had seemed sure of himself before, and it seemed as if the crab did hear some of the things Eastport had said, so why couldn't it be plausible? "So, uh...he doesn't like me 'cause I was the ref? Aw, poo." The superpower gave a small pout. "What can I do to get him to like me again?"

The little blue crab was placed back on his shoulder (where he belonged) and Eastport felt he could finally relax.
Until the others started almost making fun of him for his (nearly useless) skill.
"Y-Yeah..." He answered Molossia first, crossing his arms. "I mean, we look out f'r each other. I looked out f'r him 'n he - in his own lil' way - looks out f'r me." They were always family to the other, especially since Henry clearly had no place to go and Eastport just wasn't accepted wherever he went. So they clung to each other. And for the most part, it worked.
But America's comment about England surprised him. He wouldn't have even imagined that his little ability could've come from England. But it almost made sense. The Brit could talk to fairies and junk, and he could talk to sea creatures, so maybe that's it. "He never 'officially' taught me anything, but I guess I kinda inherited it from 'im." Eastport put a hand on his chin in thought. " 'N I've always kinda suspected that there was some sorta true thing about 'is 'friends'... But I suppose if I can talk ta Henry, why can't he do whatever he does with magic 'n whatever?" He continued to think about that before paying attention to his friend again.
Oh! Tell 'im I'll like 'im if again he gets me 'n you some food!
Eastport deadpanned: "Really?" at Henry's comment. "Food? REALLY?"
Yeah! The crab jumped up and down, careful not to lose its balance. I mean, anyone that gives ya free food can't be all bad! 'Sides, I'm hungry!
"That is the worst logic I've ever heard, 'specially if you take inta consideration the fact that all my siblings who are at my throat most of the time give me free food. But hell, I'll take it." He shrugged, beaming a quick smile and flashing a thumbs-up at the superpower. "So long as ya give us food, he'll like ya again!"

Molossia cocked his jaw. What had the little blue crab said that made Eastport have a double-take? Something about food. He stood and waited for Eastport to finish talking to his crab before he turned back to America, flashed his thumbs, and gave a grin.
"So long as ya give us food, he'll like ya again!" Food? Well, at least giving the blue crab something to eat was something that was in the warehouse's range of supply.
Molossia looked over at America. "Oi. Ya still wanna make yer chick-'n-soup?" He asked, elbowing America in his side. Molossia flashed an awkward, lop-sided smile. He wasn't good at this whole friendship thing, but he was going to try his best. "Did ya spare tha ingredients?"
(Chick-'n-soup. Delicious~ Also, this is short. Sorry.)

America blinked. Food. He had to make food for a crab. And Eastport, but he was going to do that anyway. He just couldn't believe that he was making food for a crab. Especially not when he actually had a fondness for crab cakes. He was about to laugh it off when Molossia nudged him and offered some sort smile. And he certainly wasn't going to refuse anything when Molossia smiled.
"Yeah! We can make chicken noodle soup! Uh...will a crab eat chicken?" Letting Eastport answer that, he grabbed the basket of ingredients and passed it over to Molossia to hold onto. He wondered how long it would take. Hopefully not too long- his stomach was already starting to growl slightly. And he could only imagine how the micronations felt. After all, they did just get into a fight. Fights always made people hungry.
[[Haha, look at mine. X'D]]

[This is highly entertaining to me, just saying. XD]
Eastport 'fist-bumped' Henry's claw (shush, it was a tradition they had). "Alright!" He smiled, punching the air as well. "And yeah, this lil' guy will eat anything; crabs are scavengers by nature. So he takes what he can get."
I am not little!
He chuckled, poking the hard shell on his shoulder. "Sure ya aren't." This reminded him of the old days, back when there was no fighting and no war. His grin faded as he recalled everything that happened from day one. He had forgotten how much he was wishing for the old days when he could go out and sleep on his boat at night while he counted the stars, the petty arguments he'd have with his siblings that would end with mumbled apologies and the guaranteed rematch, the annual tug-of-war competition between his people and Annapolis', the smiles on everyone's faces when he'd walk into his regular hangouts... All those little day-to-day things that he took for granted he missed being able to do.
"Hey... Dad." His usually loud voice was low and he rubbed the side of his arm. "Can I ask you something?"
