Spain finally said something. The sound of his voice made her jump a little.
"I'm ready!" Singapore announced.
She looked at the other players again. Spain, he didn't say much, so she couldnt analyze his personality traits. South Korea, probably a player, and also a person who can naturally annoy nations. Specifically Hong Kong. Singapore could use that as an advantage. Than Hong Kong. It's been a while sice she played with him. But she knew that he was going to torment her throughout the game without much effort. Bit she could easily shoot back a smart remark at him and throw him off. Then, Liechtenstein, who was not playing, is a very quiet girl. But she seems to be a person who can observe well and react just as quickly. Singapore could watch her body language for any possible lies.
Singapore could be at the advantage!

Spain, after remaining silent for some time, spoke up. Korea nodded in response to Spain's question.
"I am certainly ready, da~ze! Readiness was invented in Korea, you know."
Hong Kong was still glaring knives at South Korea, but being the childish person he was, Korea just stuck his tongue out at the other Asian nation. Fiddling with his cards, Korea shuffled through them to check out what cards he had.

"We're ready." Hong Kong sat up just a little straighter, and immediately put any thoughts except for those of the game away from him. They could wait, while the game could not. The teen didn't even respond to the Dim-Wit's immaturity or Singapore's glare. He flipped his cards in a flash, looking through them again. He spotted something interesting in the middle of his deck.
"It looks like I have the Ace after all,"
He slipped the card from his deck, throwing it in the middle of their small circle. The card in question was turned up, just like he was taught. leaning back slightly, he brought his cards up to his face, glancing around to see the other nation's reactions to their cards.
"And so it begins," He muttered under his breath, so quietly he doubted anyone could hear him.

Singapore was next. She put down the next card. She was a bit irritated when Hong Kong didn't respond to her glare. And she was really expecting something interesting. This game was going to be hers. She felt it.
'I really did get good cards this time.' Singapore thought. In her entire life, she never got cards this good. She glanced at the other players and at Liechtenstein. The only person he played with was Hong Kong, so she really had to be observant today.
"Spain, I believe it's your turn." she said.

"I guess it is~." He said cheerfully, already setting down his cards. "Two threes~" He knew that no one would try and call him out. Well, maybe not. It was just a feeling, after all.
But his instincts were usually right, so he should be fine.

It probably wasn't the best idea, because she wasn't a hundred percent sure. So by instinct, she had to call out.
"Lie!!" Singapore blurted out. Then she hit her head against the table. This was the kind of outburst that made her lose to Hong Kong before. But she couldn't take it back anymore. She had to keep it. "Yeah... It's a lie..."

Even Spain had to agree that Singapore was a fun yet usual girl. "Sorry, Sing~." He lifted up the cards he had put down: the two required threes. "Better luck next time!" With a wink, he pushed the tiny pile to her. "Enjoy your new cards~."
Okay, so maybe the wink and last sentence was a bit snarky, but he didn't notice.

Korea giggled childishly as he watched Spain give Singapore her new cards. Korea himself flicked through his small deck of cards to look for what he needed. "One four~!" He glanced around, staring pointedly at everybody to see if they would challenge his card.

".…" was all she could say. She slapped her hand on her forehead for reacting too early. It was just too stupid of her. She slowly took the cards and waited for the next card.
"One four~!" Korea said.
Singapore had to cover her mouth before the word came out. It was way too early to know. But her terrible instinct was kicking in! But a tiny little voice popped in her mind. What if it wasn't a four? Singapore couldn't hold it. She felt her hand drop from her mouth.
"LIE!!!" She yelled.
'Stupid... Stupid... STUPID ME!!!!!'

Korea tilted his head and raised an eyebrow at her. "Starting a collection, da~ze?" Lifting up the four off the table, though it was still facing downwards, Korea flicked it over to Singapore, watching it almost glide on the table. Singapore's reaction would be interesting.

Her head crashed to the table as the card slid towards her. Her stupid mouth just had to say it! This was why she never gambled at home. She would be bankrupt by now. Again, she stretched her hand to pick up the card. At this rate, she definitely wouldn't win. The humiliation of losing was already bestown on her.
"Yeah... I'm starting a huge collection today." Singapore said softly.

Spain's large heart reached out for Singapore. she was just way too eager for her own good. Much like he was too kind for his own good, but that was a whole 'nother story.
"Don't worry, Sing." He gently patted her on the head and smiled. "If you hadn't called him out on it, I probably would've." Which was completely true. He had a feeling that South Korea wasn't telling the truth, but he couldn't have been sure. "And there is still the rest of the game to play. Who knows? You may just show all of us you're a force not to be messed with."
Ah, how this reminded him of how he'd play poker with Monaco. Except for it was her cheering him up after he lost to her. AGAIN.

Hong Kong grinned slyly. This was Singapore's weakness. She was to quick to call out a lie, fake or no, and it was always her downfall. She would act on impulse, without stopping to check how to person was acting.
And that was his specialty. He had known the the dim-wit wasn't lying; He was always cheerful and when lying tried to act 'normal.' Which never worked, and was always slightly creepy. The teen pulled a card out of his hand, sliding it down onto the table.
"One five,"

Spain did his best to cheer Singapore up. But it clearly did her no good. Well, it worked a bit, but that reassuring feeling disappeared when she saw Hong Kong's grinning face. She let out a sigh. She turned to Liechtenstein, who didn't say much for the entire time. It worried her a bit, but she decided to put it aside. She slowly raised her head from the table and rubbed her forehead. She touched a new bruise a flinched a bit. The result of her stupidity. Singapore let out yet another a sigh.
"One five,"
'Oh no.' Singapore thought. 'Please mouth shut up this time.'
The teenaged girl told herself not to say a word. But that didn't help. She felt the wot rising up in her throat, ready to pounce, but only to turn back and bite her back in the neck. She wasn't sure if she could hold it any longer and ended up letting it out.
"… Lie…" she said. If it weren't for a stupidly fast reflexes, this wouldn't have happened. She waited there, readied herself for the pain. She was now the prey of her predator.

Hong Kong's chesire grin could have split his face. He had waited with baited breath to see what her reactoin would be, and had finally sighed out when she had spoken. "Nope~" And it wasn't a lie the teen only had a really, really good deal.
