A hotblooded kid like San Marino was not meant for the cold weather of Canada. She could recall a few times when she had come to Canada's home and remembered asking herself each time 'When the hell do I get to go home.'
Where she lived everything was warm and sunny and she liked it that way. However she did know that it was better to be freezing than sticking around with a bunch of Zombies!
So she packed her bag and headed out as fast as she could which was really fast seeing how she was Italian. Pushing her long wavy dark hair she gazed ahead of her and saw probably the most joyous sight ever; The home base.
After spending so much effort and time trying to get to this home base she had at last found it. Marino was almost tempted to collapse in this sudden realization but a noise behind her made her think twice as she tore to the building as fast as her legs could carry her.
Once entering she looked around feeling that everything was very quiet...Something that she did not like. Marino was used to the hustle and bustle of her very small yet very compacted and noisy micronation. But she figured that she would get use to it eventually...like she had thought before it was far better than to be surrounded by Zombies. Her olive green eyes gazed around the base in silence looking for any signs of life. When she could not she decided to take a far more direct approach.
"HELLO!? Is anyone here!? Where the HELL is everyone!?"

America had been about to get started with the chores he had lined up for the day (which he found unfair, considering he had just finished off a load of paperwork less than twenty-four hours ago and they expected him to turn right around and do more boring stuff) when he heard the front door open and close again. It wasn't an uncommon thing to hear, but America found it a habit to catch at least a small glimpse whoever it was coming in (nervous habit, perhaps; he was always worried zombies figured it out).
He breathed a sigh of relief when he laid eyes on a young girl, then smirked when she started cursing. He stepped out from the make-shift walls that separated the main room from the other areas and beamed brightly. "Hey, there!" he greeted, sticking his hands in his pockets as he stepped up to her.
God, but her name! What was her name? He knew he had met her at least once before, and he was certain she was related to the Italies, but who was she?
"So, uh...you just got here, huh?" He figured he might as well start a conversation while trying to remember her name.

San Marino perked up as did her head as she looked up at the American that seemed to tower of over her...she really was a tiny little thing. Though America had forgotten her, Marino had not forgotten him in the least. He was one of the first people to ever reconize her as her own independent nation and considered him a very good friend.
"America!" She ran at him and tackled him in a hug out of no where that sent to the ground. Before Marino could stop herself she started to cry out of joy. "I've missed you so much! You never come to visit me anymore you crazy bastard!" The tears continued though a very pleased smile seemed to touch her face at just looking down at him glad to have been greeted by a very familar face that she always welcomed.
The little kid looked down at America seeing that before there was a look of uncertainty in his eyes and there still was...Had he forgotten her? Had he decided to put the friendship she treasured so much aside?
She began to cry all over again this time in sadness. As anyone could see she defenantly took after her two Italian brothers.
"You've forgetten me already!? You son of bitch! How could you forget your friend San Marino! I might be a micronation but that doesn't give you the right to just forget me!" Her flimsy fists hit his chest making litte to no affect on America as she continued to cry.

America should have realized by now that the majority of his female friends really did enjoy tackling him the ground. Not that he minded, obviously, because that meant that they were glad to see him, which actually brought a smile to his face.
It disappeared when she mentioned their friendship, because that's when he remembered exactly who she was.
"Oh, right, San Marino!" he exclaimed, giving a nervous chuckle (and hating how she was crying, why did she have to cry?). "Geez, I'm sorry. You just needed to jog my memory a little. I mean..." He fumbled about with his words for a few minutes, trying to think of a valid excuse, and finally said, "I'm just exhausted. Fighting zombies takes a lot out of you."
He stopped her from hitting his chest and held her small hands in both of his larger ones. "Hey, don't be upset! I didn't forget you. Come on." He picked the both of them up, then brushed her off and smoothed out her clothes before smiling at her again. "Don't cry, please? It was just a mistake!"

It was a relatively calm day for Czech Republic. Usually that nation could be seen sewing, knitting or croquetting something in her spair time yet today she was priding herself with doing paperwork.
Most nations would have found the task taxing and so boring that they would rather pull out every single one of their hairs just to count them. However Czech wasn't most nations and found that she was at peace with the papers to sort and a note pad and pen by her side to scribble down any sidenotes for her to remember later.
Yes everything was peaceful for her. That is until a loud and rather obnoxious voice broke her concentration making her look up in surprise and annoyance. After she had sorted her papers in a place she could pick up later to do, she went away from the work to see where this new voice came from. The accent sounded Italian to say the least.
When she reached to commons she found new person was present with her good friend America. She did not know this little kid nor did she seem to have anything to do with her seeing how her pale skin got paler and her throat swallowed a nervous lump. Czech hated meeting new people and was fine with not meeting them period. However something forced her to stay when she saw what the new nation did. She had tackled America to the ground and was hugging him.
An overwhelming pang of jealousy hit her. That was something that she did...and to watch someone else do it to her best friend was enough for her to go crazy on the inside. Though Czech was a sweet, sweet girl she could get jealous of others rather quicjly when it came to her friends...she didn't have many friends and felt rather threatened when it looked like someone was about to steal them away from her. It wouldn't be the first time an inciden t like that had happened! Pushing her cowardace away she began to walk towards them putting on her best smile possible.
"Ahoj America!" She said in her usual cheerful sing song melody of a voice and a sweet gleam in her blue green eyes. "Who is your friend?" She asked as her eyes fell on the girl the jealousy clear in her eyes though she tried her best to hide it. One thing was for sure...the relationship between the two female nations had already started off on the wrong foot.

Marino finally managed to stop crying and after a few tiny hicups looked up at America with tears gleaming like emeralds were in her eyes. So...he hadn't forgotten her? Oh that was wonderful! That was probably the best news that she had heard since this Zombie Apocolypse started up. She hugged him tightly her tiny arms barely able to reach all the way around his waist. She gave a large smile on her face showing that she was in fact very pleased with his words.
There was the sound of another vouce that made her look up suddenly to see that a fellow female nation had made her way towards them. She studied her for a moment and could place her perfectly. This was the young woman who would play with her older brother France...her favorite brother she might add. And she was also known for getting more attention from her brother than she did! And she was his sister. A look of pure dislike touched her face then it gave a mischevious gleam to it when they saw the jealousy in the other girl's eyes.
Marino then proceeded to hug to America tighter and stick her tongue out at Czech Republic.
"Its none of your business prissy!" She yelled sticking her tongue even more prodomantly.

He had just returned Marino's hug when he heard another voice drift into the common room. He turned his head and grinned when he saw Czech (ironically enough, the other female friend who tackled him to the ground). "Hey, Czech!" he greeted to her. Unfortunately, he wasn't very skilled at reading people's moods some of the time (especially not when those people happened to be girls), so he didn't even notice anything until Marino actually snapped at Czech.
Then his smile faltered, and he blinked, confusion clouding his gaze. Was there some sort of history there that he had missed, or was this just normal, female behavior? Hell, even for an Italy, San Marino typically didn't act so rudely towards others.
"Don't be rude!" he scolded, then gave an apologetic glance to Czech. "Sorry, this is San Marino. She's another good friend of mine!" Ignoring (see: not really noticing) the anger in both eyes of both girls, he gestured Czech even closer. "I'll bet you two can be great friends! I mean, surely you guys are related to some of the same countries, right?"

Marino continued to glare at Czech despite America's scolding. She already stole her big brother's attention from her she wasn't going to let her do the same with America. Not by a long shot. When America mentioned 'friends' she scoffed.
"Friends with that cagna!?" She yelled as though demanding an explination for this suggestion. Another rather mischevious grin touched her as she turned her challenging glance at Czech knowing how to get on the other nation's nerve without a doubt.
"Why the hell would I want to be friends with the woman who stalks my big brother, Romano like some creepy fangirl?"
She knew that this was beyond a doubt true...when she would on occasion and visit Romano's home at times she would look outside and see the woman standing in front of the house with a basket of some sort under her arm. Or at other times she'd notice her staring at him from a distance when they'd buy shopping in the market place! Talk about creepy!
At that she stuck her tongue out at her again letting go of America to make perfectly immature face at the woman before her. She smirked knowing that the great Czech Republic would soon be blushing scarlet any moment now.

Czech's reaction was just as Marino predicted. Her face turned the deepest shade of red possible. Having studied Italian Czech knew exactly what that little insult meant. And about her brother, that was a little tidbit that she did not want any saying outloud to anyone. Her glare became as hot as fury at the little girl before her. Yes she did have a tendency to stalk her crush Romano but it was never out of malcious intent! It were only because she was too scared to think up of anything to say to him!
Her fists clenched into tight fists that shook violently looking ready to hit something and that something being the brat before her. She counted the girl rather lucky that her second personality wasn't about otherwise there would of been nothing to stop her from attempting to strangle her.
She started muttering quiet curses to herself her eyes showing the pure rage...but then suddenly it was gone as she managed to calm herself down and put on a semi calm smile.
"Sorry to have bothered you then." She turned to leave but not before taking her anger out at the nearby wall that soon suffered a punch that caused a large dent. She ignored the pain and the possible broken knuckles as she went off once more to do paperwork her rage sated by the punch and was relatively calm again.

San Marino smirked when she saw that she had angered Czech Republic but started to have second thoughts when she felt those hard cold blue green eyes staring down at her mercilessly. She almost felt tempted to hide behind America for protection but as soon as the rage came it was gone as a relatively calmed look touched the young lady.
"Sorry to have bothered you then."
A rather victorious air came over her when she saw her leaving them which made her ego go up. However her face paled when she saw Czech demonstrate her immense strength by punching the wall. She didn't even scream in pain when her knuckles were clearly split and starting to bleed nor showed any sign that it hurt.
When she was starting off again she clung to America swallowing hard. "She's scary..." She said trying not to show too much fear towards the other female nation who, despite appearing small and delicate was a power house of strength!

America wasn't good at reading girls. It could be argued that he simply had trouble reading anyone, but while he could usually understand the body language of other guys, girls were different. This was no exception. Marino mentioned something about Romano, and Czech had suddenly slammed her fist into the wall and stomped off. America just stood there, unsure of what exactly had happened between the two female nations.
Marino's statement brought America back to earth, though he still felt confused and worried. He contemplated between sticking with Marino (since she was new here and should be filled in on the details) or going after Czech. As it was, both were his friends, so he decided to do both. "Czech!" he yelled, ignoring Marino for the time being. "Get back here, Czech!" He wasn't certain if the red-haired nation would listen and come back, but it was worth a shot.
Taking a deep breath, he glanced down at Marino, frowning. "What was that all about?" he asked, trying not to be too angry. A few minutes into her stay and San Marino already had an enemy.

Czech stopped in her tracks when America started to call for her to come back. Though she knew it was better to be away from the child that had touched a very sensitive nerve only moments ago but decided she might as well go back. If she was to fly into a rage she thought that America would be the one to hold her back, knowing very well that he could do it with little to no effort.
She came to them once more keeping an arms length total from Marino out of habit and crossed her arms her hand still throbbing from the punch she had delivered to the wall.
Usually the rather manipulative nation would start pouting to make the outcome of this little talk be in her favor yet for now she held a very mature and very calm air to herself. She knew that she was no where in the wrong with this and had no reason to use one of her little tricks to help her with this. Her blue green eyes stared at San Marino for just a moment...then looked up to America cocking a brow.
"Yes?"
She was genuinely interested to hear what he had to say for this little brat's impertenance.

San Marino paused looking up at him wondering what she had done wrong just now and why America looked angry at her. Being so young it was rather hard for her to understand things like this. And like the kid that she was, she began to explain herself in the best way that she possibly could.
"She already stole my big brother from me! I didn't want her stealing you as well!"
To some this would have been viewed either adorable while others considered it selfish but to Marino it made the up most sense in her head as her very as a matter of factly gaze stated.
However seeing that he was still anger it made her ready to cry again not liking for other to be angry at her one bit. As fate would have it she never had a chance to when the slavic nation returned and flashed her a look that made her stand tall and stop herself from crying at once.
Listening to her question to America she looked up at him as well wondering what was he going to say?

Upon hearing San Marino's reasoning for acting as she did, America's eyes grew wide before the frown dissolved into a soft smile. He would have addressed her problem, but he wasn't about to ignore Czech. Instead, he ruffled Marino's hair and said, "Well, don't worry, 'kay?" He then looked over at Czech, the smile still on his face. "That was a pretty nice punch over there," he carefully commented, reaching out and grabbing the wounded hand. "I'm real glad it wasn't me you were punching."
He grinned as he examined her hand, shrugging when he gingerly touched the knuckles. "The fingers are a bit broken," he commented quietly. "This one and...and this one right here. You should probably put some ice on it and tape them to your other fingers to let them heal." He knew he was just stepping around the more important issue at hand, but he wasn't exactly sure how to make the two girls put aside their differences. "England's gonna be pissed if he knows, though, so hide the fact that they're broken from him, okay?
"Now," he continued, stepping away from both of them and giving a glare. "Can someone please tell me why you two hate each other so bad?"

Czech nodded at America's wise words of advice and couldn't help but break a smile when he mentioned England getting pissed off. She decided she'd just wear a pair of warm gloves during the healing process...that way none would be the wiser.
A rather insulted look touched her face when he questioned them both why they hated each other. Around this time she would have started pouting and acting immature but knew better...it wasn't Prussia that she was standing next to it was a child and knew that it wouldn't end her favor. So keeping her mature air to her she crossed her arms flashing a look to San Marino as if she demanded an answer out of her.
"I don't have a problem...she was the one who decided to insult me and embaress me." Though that was partially a lie she continued.
"And I have no idea what she is talking about when she says that I've stolen her brother from her...I haven't stolen anyone's siblings."
She stated as a matter of factly really having no idea what the hell the little girl was talking about when she overheard her explaination to America while walking back to them.
