China suppressed a grin, biting the insides of his lips while his eyes smiled.
"We can't be sure, but we know he's still alive. The side effects might," no, no England couldn't go in a twenty year coma, that was sickly for the laws of science to do something of that worth to a man. Aiyah, stamp it out, aru~! What do you know about this concoction?, "be a bit off but it's saving his people, it is a good barrier. Very strong."
He felt a balloon of pride and joy in his gut and with a slight prayer to a God he didn't believe in anymore he promised himself that Japan would get credit, it would go down in the history archives, everyone in the mission would be there. He would write of England's fate on the walls.
... If it worked fully. If England would live to America's expectations. Not China's but America's.

Honestly, the side-effects weren't exactly on America's mind. He was just so happy England was alive, so happy that they could actually live together now. He refused to let go of the hand he currently held on to, and he certainly refused to wipe that grin off his face. He didn't want anything to ruin this.
"All of you guys saved him," America said, struggling to control his excitement. He wanted to hug everyone. He wanted to gather every single country and apologize for whatever he had done in the past, and then he would just hug them all until he couldn't hug any longer. He wanted to actually let them be proud of what they had done. He wanted them to have the spotlight for once, if only for a few hours.
He didn't mind sitting it out and staying right beside England.
