BASIC INFO
Name: Argentina [Lucía de Romero]
Gender: Female
Appearance: Argentina has olive skin, raven-black hair, and almost unrealistic seaweed-green eyes. She can be most recognized by a few things: An ahoge on the very top of her head that never seems to want to lay flat; Her height, since she is only 5'0''; and the fact that, while the rest of her hair is down, she has a braid going down one side that hangs over her shoulder. She is also a very svelte young lady with an appearance of about 21 years old.
Her usual attire (I'm describing this because the uniform in the drawing above was just an unofficial outfit I drew for that picture only) is distinguished by a long dark gray-blue coat she wears, closed together by copper buttons. Although the coat goes down to about her knees, she never has all of the buttons closed, and usually keeps four of the six buttons open, so the coat is only closed to the end of her collared shirt she wears underneath. The coat aside, Lucia wears a dark green tie around her neck (Tucked underneath the coat of course, to maintain a look of professionalism), and pair of gray military trousers. Her pants are long, but they are mostly stuffed into black leather knee-high combat boots.
Personality: Conceited and rather arrogant, to put it simply. She doesn’t always make for good conversation, but is known for being intellectual, and can be interesting to have a long talk with once in a while (When she’s not going on and on about herself, that is). Her pride often gets in her way of asking anyone for help, and Argentina is pretty short-tempered to boot.
She will often cause arguments and bring up unsettled problems from the past to intentionally start problems with other nations. Argentina enjoys getting people riled up with her, just to feel like she’s a part of something. Although it’s seen as rather pathetic, Argentina is willing to take any attention she can get, good or bad.
Argentina is also known as one to enjoy the “finer things in life”, being cared for by some of the more romantic European nations. She has been raised to be very aristocratic.
She does not take insults lightly, and will surely come back with a sarcastic, dry remark.
Relations with other chars:
Spain
As Argentina’s former colonial caretaker, the Latin American nation and Spain have had their ups and downs. She may not admit it, but she does care for and love Spain as her big brother. It is because of this that – during her colonial days – Argentina became very possessive over Spain. When he spent more time with his other colonies, she would act out and put mischievous plans into thought. This was both a way of attracting attention to herself, and getting back at Spain for “not loving her as much as he loved her brothers and sisters”.
Argentina didn’t always act harsh and make things difficult for Spain, however. In fact, she used to be “Daddy’s little girl”, which only hurt more when Spain began to give more of his love and attention to Romano and the other colonies.
Her jealousy grew as she did, and these feelings (among others) eventually lead to her independence with the rest of Latin America.
Nowadays, although the road has been rocky after her independence, and she and Spain have had their fair share of harsh disputes, Argentina’s jealousy has subsided, and she and Spain are on good terms.
Spain was the one who began affectionately referring to Argentina as “Tina”, which is a nickname that was eventually picked up by some other nations.
The Italy Brothers
Because Argentina was raised by Spain, she ended up spending a lot of time with Italy and Romano. Despite arguing with Romano a lot as children, the two have always had an under-lying respect for one another, and began to mature as they aged. Now, they think of each other more as siblings.
Even though North Italy wasn’t under Spanish rule, she began to grow closer to him after her independence, when she began spending more time with him and his brother. Although his clumsy “stupidity” may sometimes aggravate her, Argentina puts up with it, and enjoys Italy’s company.
The brothers, Spain, and France are what inspire most of Argentina’s favorite mealtime cuisine, and it is safe to say that she has learned much of what she knows of cooking and baking from their individual cultures.
France
France is one of Spain’s closest friends, although they were having a falling out in the time of her colonization. As the two became the friends they are today, Argentina spent a lot of time with France. She is friends with him herself, in fact, and often comes to his house for visits.
Because Argentina thinks of Spain as an older brother, France can’t really bring himself to flirt with the “sister” of his best friend, and thus usually leaves her alone. Argentina is very appreciative for this. Not to say she has to give him a little reminder once in a while if he tries anything. Even a verbal reminder is enough to get France to back off.
All in all, Argentina really enjoys France’s company, and, although she understands why some would be disgusted by his habits, cannot understand why people would dislike him. He’s very kind, and treats Argentina with much courtesy and respect.
England
Argentina heard stories of England as a child. Villainous stories that Spain brought back with him after the War of the Spanish Armada. In fact, some of Argentina’s earliest memories of her colonial days were of Spain’s warnings to stay away from England. It wasn’t until not too long ago that Argentina understood just why.
Although Argentina was one of the nations who – despite trying to remain neutrality – sent British soldiers much-needed supplies during World War II, England did not return the favor in later years that followed. Relations between England and Argentina are at a standstill after the Falkland War, where English soldiers invaded and captured the Falkland Islands as their own territory.
Argentina holds a long-standing grudge with England for that one war, and is constantly avoiding him, or arguing with him. She tries to bring up the war as often as possible, and refuses to let things go and admit that she lost. She has made it her goal to win the Falklands back.

Sample RP test:
Beads of sweat rolled down Argentina's forehead as she sprinted through the vacant streets, down alleyways and making sharp turns in an attempt to evade her attacker. Her boost of adrenaline had given a start to her athletic legs, but much like to having that first cup of coffee in the morning and then feeling drained of its power later in the afternoon, Argentina's legs were beginning to ache. Gunshots fired and echoed behind her, though, and this is what kept her going. She wasn't going to become the hunted. Not today, not ever!
Argentina rounded a corner and dove into another backstreet of the abandoned town. She heard footsteps as they pounded against the concrete, and she could almost feel the distance she had gotten from before disappearing bit-by-bit with each step. As the already-exhausted nation turned to continue the chase, she felt her legs turn into jell-o at the sight before her. A wall, only a few feet ahead. Argentina was trapped, and she knew it.
She looked back over her shoulder and watched in horror as the darkened figure grew closer. In a last resort, Argentina swiped the pistol off of her belt and aimed. She pulled the trigger and there was a click.. but no bullets.
"..No." She gasped and began pulling over and over again. Click. Click. Click. "No.. no, no, NO!" Out of bullets. Lucia screamed in frustration and, in a fit of rage, chucked her gun across the alley. The gun crashed onto the ground and slid across the concrete before coming to a stop at her pursuer's feet. The man simply stepped over and kept right on going without giving the gun a second glance.
Argentina swung around to face her attacker again, her back against the wall with wide, dilated pupils. She felt her eyes tear up, but couldn't help but smile and try not to laugh at the irony of it all. Here was a well-known and recognized middlepower nation, stuck between a rock and a hard place. A deer in headlights. Trapped.

ABOUT THE ROLEPLAYER
About yourself: Hola. c: My real name is Breanna, but you can all call me Bree~ (Just a tip for OOC conversation). Uh, hmmm.. I'm not a very interesting person, so there's not much to say about myself. I live in the good old United States of America and find home in Florida, and I've been roleplaying almost every single day for a sturdy 5 years.I know this may not be impressive news to many, but just wanted to put that out there.
Pairing friendly?: I don't necessarily have any preferences for what I want to read in this roleplay. Anything's fine with me, I don't mind Yaoi or Yuri, I just don't really have many "favorite" pairings in Hetalia. But USUK is cool with me. c:
As for pairings involving my own character, Argentina.. I suppose SpainxTina or RomanoxTina would be alright, mostly because they make the most senseand I like Hetalia pairings with historical accuracy. But anything's alright, and if you're happy, I'm happy too. <3
Personal note to anyone reading your application: To people who actually took the time to read this entire application... I love you. So much. I know I can blab on and on for a while and tend to get annoying, so I appreciate your patience with me.
