"Eh? Really?!" Spain green eyes sparkled like emeralds and his face glowed even more - if that was possible. "I knew I could count on you, Tina~!" He couldn't resist and just HAD to give her another hug. "I didn't know what we were going to do, especially since-" He shuddered a bit a the next thought. "Inglaterra decided he was going to try and make the cake..." Looking up at her with a begging face that would put a homeless puppy-dog to shame, he begged of her to promise to make the cake before England could even get into the kitchen.

Argentina let herself be hugged, but didn't exactly hug back. She basically just stayed there rather limply. Tina glanced down at Spain's face... and wavered a quick smile.
"..Well. It's the least I can do, after all. Y-you've done a lot for me over the years, so I can return the favor by, at the very least, making you a wedding cake.." She insisted and awkwardly patted Spain's head. Argentina managed to force herself to advert her eyes from his adorable green voids that were, by far, the greenest and loveliest eyes in a male she'd probably ever seen. "I can't imagine the disaster England would cook up, anyway.. so. You can count on me."

"Muchos gracias!!!!" As a side note, he did add one thing: "Ugh, you don't want to imagine it... I don't even think the stuff he makes even remotely qualifies as edible, never mind food." He shivered once again, remembering one time back in the pirating days when England had forced him to eat his cooking as a means of torture (on his end). WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. He had almost felt bad for America having to grow up with THAT kind of... substance.
"I can't wait to see what you think of~" He cheered, standing up and stretching. "So, what brings you up here anyway?"

Argentina blinked and watched Spain stand. She shrugged and stood up as well, dusting off her uniform before looking up at him... of course, Spain towered over Tina. She'd almost forgotten how much bigger he is than her, and Spain's not even that tall.
"Well." Argentina looked down at her hands, which still had a bit of tomato juice on them. "I came up here for a snack. Just something to hold me over until cena.." She seemed bitter as she said this.. clearly, Tina was a bit angry that Spain had taken the tomato from her and gulped down the last of it for himself.

Spain blinked at the slight hint of what seemed to be bitterness in her voice. "Why didn't you just ask? I would've been more than happy to have gotten you something." Oh, that's right. He kinda just ate the tomato that she was eating. No wonder she was mad at him.

Argentina gave Spain and regretful glance and simply shrugged. "It's too late now." She sighed, by now pretty much just hiding her frustration that he had snatched her food away. "It's fine. I'll just wait until everyone else is ready to eat.. I had a couple bites anyway, so I guess that's good enough.." Tina glanced at the ground and kicked up some dirt before deciding to change the subject.
"So," She said, "How about you? Why did you come out here?" Tina looked the pack he had set down beside him before, eyeing it curiously. "You are in charge of the gardening, then?"

With a mischievous smile, Spain swiftly plucked another tomato off the vines growing steadily toward the Canadian sun and handed it to her. "Consider it an apology." He picked up his bag and rifled through it, looking for a small vial he had stuck in there earlier. "And not just the greenhouse or gardening," he proudly said, especially now that he had finally found the small glass tube. "I'm in change of maintaining everything here. After all I am the only groundskeeper." He mentally facepalmed himself for forgetting Singapore. "Well, up until recently I was."
Humming a bit once again, he set to work plucking some of the herbs and setting them into the vial. "I really only came up here for supplies for dinner and to do a little testing. I want to see the effects that the cause of all this would have on the plants. I'm no lab scientist, but I can at least try this. It'll also give me a good way to figure out how to purify the water around here as well."
He rubbed the back of his head and laughed a bit awkwardly. "I'm sorry, I'm boring you, aren't I?"

Argentina raised a brow and leaned over, watching as Spain pulled off the herbs one by one. She casted a glance down at the shining red "fruit" in her palm that Spain had handed to her and took a bite. Argentina is no cat, but she couldn't help but utter a soft purr at the taste.
She went on like this for a minute or so and simply let her "hermano" go on speaking. Tina didn't interupt. In fact, none of what he said had "bored" her.
Tina swallowed her mouthful of tomato before standing up straight, smiling. "No, actually, not at all. I think it's great that you've decided to do this on your own. It's not a bad idea at all." She looked away, stuffing her free hand in her pocket casually. "It's pretty smart," Argentina returned a playful smile. "By your standards, I mean." She added, clearly teasing... She just hoped Spain knew she was teasing. Either way, the guy is the most oblivious person Tina knows.

Humbly blushing, Spain smiled a bit. "You give me too much credit. I'm just doing what I can since I'm not much help on the battlefield anymore." He sight and flopped down onto the dirt, extending his arms to make T shape with his body. "I feel so OLD now."
He mock pouted and poked her leg. "You're so harsh~. Can't you be a little kinder to Boss?"

"No." Tina said smugly and rolled her eyes, poking Spain's forehead in response. Hey, she said what he was doing was "smart, by his standards". With Argentina, it doesn't exactly get much kinder than that.
"Is there anything I can help with?" She asked. "Taking care of the greenhouse, I mean." Tina sat down a bit, or more or less crouched, trying to avoid getting her pants dirty as much as possible... which, well. Wasn't working out that much anyway.

Spain scrunched his face in thought. Something she could do, something she could do... there really wasn't much. It was already cleaned and cleared (thanks to Roma's help) and there wasn't much else to do. Other than coming up for dinner stuff and specimens to test with, he really only came up here to relax. Though there was one thing she might be able to help with...
"Well," He said eventually, dusting off his hand it putting on his chin. "I can't think of much... But if you want, I'm inspecting the seals on the greenhouse and I could use some help with that." He really hoped that she would say yes, because the faster he inspected the seals, the faster he could go and finish helping with dinner.

Argentina blinked and cocked her head to the side. "Check the seals, huh?" She didn't seem too interested. Sounded like a menial duty to be in charge of. How many Argentines does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Answer: The lightbulb never gets changed, because none of them would ever stoop so low.
Tina gave a sigh and shrugged rather uncaringly. "Claro, por qué no? I'll help, I suppose." Well, she now officially lost all interest in this conversation.

Spain nodded and sat up, dusting off his back. "Sí. It's just a small job, but it has to be done. If the seals are compromised here, then we could easily lose all of this food to either birds, or the cold, or whatever caused this mess..." He trailed off, not wanting to remind himself of the hell literally right on their doorstep. He did all he could to keep his mind off of it, but no matter what he did, he couldn't escape the reality of their world. There would always be something to remind him of it.
Hearing that she would help out, even if she wasn't enthusiastic (not that Spain was anyway), brought a small smile to his face. "Thanks. I don't really want to do it either, but I don't have much of a choice. It's either suffer through this job or risk all our food."
Before he dragged her over to the first door seal, he made sure to explain how to do it: "It's really simple," he pulled out the spray bottle of water. "All we have to do is shut the door - one of us on each side - and spray the water on the seal. If water comes through the other side, the seal is compromised and I'll have to find some way of replacing it. If not, well, no need to do anything. Oh, and we also have to do it on both sides to make sure nothing can get in or out."
With another smile, he began walking over to the west door - their first target. "¿Estás listo?"

Argentina gave a sigh, letting herself be dragged. "Sí, sí." She agreed unenthusiastically, almost like a lazy, rebelling teenager. "Sounds reasonable." Of course, as though she had a choice to accept or deny it like an offer. Tina flattened out the wrinkles in her coat from crouching and gave Spain a nod. "Oeste door is up first?"

Switzerland watched as a brown haired blur ran by dragging what looked like a body.
Not wanting Spain (for that's who he assumed it was) to accidentally kill someone he stepped out caling, "Spain, You're giving the poor girl wip-lash."
