((I HATE THIS TITLE, BUT I LOVE IT AS WELL. Anyway, I hope this works for you. ;w; ))
A tournament? That was news to Spain. But as with most things in life, he took it in stride.
It was probably a good idea anyway since he found training alone to be boring after a while and having a partner to train with - and then fighting with them - was fun to a certain extent.
And even better that he got to be training with Liechtenstein! He hadn't seen her in a while and enjoyed her company. Mostly because she was fairly relaxed like himself.
Well, this should be interesting. He mused as he entered the training grounds. I wonder how this will play out?
Now, to wait for Liechtenstein to arrive.

(Title is fine, very cute. Haven't rp in a while, hope Liechtenstein does sound OOC and not too many grammar mistake.)
Liechtenstein frowned as she half walked and half ran to the training ground. She was late and that was inexcusable. The blonde girl silently hopes that Spain wasn’t there so he wouldn’t know of her tardiness but as she got closer to the training ground she notice a figure. Spain was already there waiting for her. As soon as she entered the training ground Liechtenstein began apologizing.
“H-hello Mr. Spain, I’m sorry my tardiness. I hope you weren’t waiting too long.”

((Yay. ;w; And don't worry, I'm sure you're alright. ^^))
With a soft smile, Spain held up his hand to discourage any more apologizing. "Don't worry about it~ I only just got here anyway."
He took a deep breath and stretched his arms above his head. "So, how exactly are we going to train? You use a handgun, si? I use my axe. So sparring against each other is out of the question..." He trailed off, trying to think of ways they could train together. This was going to be tricky...

Liechtenstein shifted uncomfortably at the mention of her using her handgun. The blond girl uses her hand gun but that’s strictly for zombies. She couldn’t bring herself to shoot her comrades or friends even if it’s for a friendly match. Of course Liechtenstein wasn’t planning to compete unarmed she just have a different weapon in mind. After training, she’ll have to talk to Spain about her choice of weapon.
“Mr. Spain, could you teach me some defense moves? Our opponents will surely target me because of my body structure.”

((I'm so sorry this has taken FOREVER. ;A; I've been really busy lately.)
"Of course!" Oh thank goodness he had her on his side. She was small in stature, but she was smart and he could tell she thought things through. He guessed she already had a plan for winning the tournament anyway. "They're fairly simple and a lot of them connect."
Ah, great. He was never the best at explaining. "For example. Say someone was coming at you like this," He pantomimed someone thrusting a sword at her stomach. "The easy thing to do is to grab their wrist, duck under them, push their elbow up and knock them to the ground. It sounds complicated, but it's actually fairly easy. Watch." Within seconds, he had a training dummy (thank goodness they were around or he wouldn't know WHAT to do) pinned to the ground, and him sitting on their back. "Now, you can do that to any one, regardless of size. Just make sure you get their wrist twisted slightly to the inside and that you knock their feet from under them. Don't be afraid to hit hard, too. Plus, once you get them like this, they won't be able to move at all." He paused, making sure that he gave her time to let everything sink in. "Did that make any sense?" Laughing weakly, he stood up. "If so, you can practice on me."

((No, I'm sorry! I had to go somewhere for four days without internet DX I almost died!))
"Of course!" Spain said making Liechtenstein’s eyes lit up in excitement and she eagerly listened. "They're fairly simple and a lot of them connect."
"For example. Say someone was coming at you like this," He said. "The easy thing to do is to grab their wrist, duck under them, push their elbow up and knock them to the ground. It sounds complicated, but it's actually fairly easy. Watch." The ribbon hair girl took in every single word but have difficulty imagining it in her head. She frowned a little wondering if she’ll have enough strength to take someone down.
Liechtenstein watched carefully as Spain practiced on a dummy for her. “Now, you can do that to any one, regardless of size. Just make sure you get their wrist twisted slightly to the inside and that you knock their feet from under them. Don't be afraid to hit hard, too. Plus, once you get them like this, they won't be able to move at all." Spain explained. Everything made sense now and she felt confident that she could do it.
"Did that make any sense?" Spain said, laughing as he stood up. She nodded."If so, you can practice on me." Liechtenstein nodded again.
“I think I understand everything…” She then took a few steps backwards and readied herself. Liechtenstein hesitated, “Can I really practice on you? What if you get hurt, Mr. Spain?”

"Again, any questions, just ask." Inwardly, he was really thankful that he actually made some sense when explaining something.
Aw, her hesitation was just adorable! "Don't worry~" He smiled. "It'll hurt a little, but if it becomes too much, I'll just hit the ground with my free hand."
If he remembered right, it would actually hurt like a bitch if his hand was twisted too far in. "Just be careful twisting my wrist. If you twist it too hard or too fast, it'll break." And that's the last thing I need before this tournament.

“Don't worry~" He smiled. "It'll hurt a little, but if it becomes too much, I'll just hit the ground with my free hand." Liechtenstein relaxed at the reassurance and was about to move when Spain added, “Just be careful twisting my wrist. If you twist it too hard or too fast, it'll break."
“O-okay.” The nervous girl answered. Taking a deep breath she went over Spain’s explanation. I can do this, Mr. Spain won’t get hurt if I do it right.
Liechtenstein took the little steps between her and Spain as fast as she can and grab his wrist. Instead of twisting his wrist, like he recommended, she tighten her grip with all her might. Ducking under the European man, she pushed his elbow up as quickly as she could. Not knowing what would be the best move to knock him down; Liechtenstein simply gave a hard push in the chest by using both of her hands hoping it would make Spain loose his balance and fall.

((I'm sorry. I'm not very good at this. TTwTT))
When Liechtenstein tried to push him down by pushing against him, he knew he would have to elaborate a little bit. Sure, he lost his balance a bit, but that's not quite what he was going for.
With a smile, he shook his arm a bit (it would always hurt having your elbow nearly pinned on your back) and walked back over to her. "Close... but not exactly. You had it right, until you tried knocking me to the ground." Disregarding the dummy, he used his hands to show what he meant. "When you want to knock your opponent down, you have one of two options: Trip them so they fall forward anyway, or kick the back of their knees VERY HARD. That way they'll fall on their stomach and you can sit on their back. Trust me, when you get them on their stomach and you on their back, they're worthless in a fight."
He motioned for her to try again, hopefully this time she'll get it right.

((No, you're great. I'm the one not good at this DX ))
Liechtenstein enthusiasm drop a bit when she failed to knock Spain down. But Spain didn’t seem upset at all at her failure instead he smiled. “Close... but not exactly. You had it right, until you tried knocking me to the ground." Spain used his hands to show what he meant and Liechtenstein smiled grateful that she has a wonderful patient teacher.
He motioned for her to retry and the European girl nodded. This time she’ll get it right. Taking his wrist, she grabbed it softer than she previously did and gave it a gentle twist. Then she ducked under him and pushed up his elbow. Liechtenstein took a quick calm breath and gave a solid kick in the back of Spain’s knee. Worrying that it wouldn’t be enough to make him fall, she jumped on him and used her weight to pull him toward the ground.

((You're actually really good at this. ;w; ))
Spain let out a small gasp when he hit the ground. Yep. She did it well. VERY well. In fact, he couldn't move. At all.
I guess this is a success...?
"V-Very good!" He smiled, even though she couldn't see it because he couldn't move his head either. "That is exactly how you do it!
But if you wouldn't mind..." He groaned a bit. "Could you please get off me? This is effective for keeping your opponent down, but there's still a bit to teach... And the floor isn't very comfortable."

"V-Very good! That is exactly how you do it!" Liechtenstein smiled at the praise.
"But if you wouldn't mind..." She leaned in a bit to hear him better. "Could you please get off me? This is effective for keeping your opponent down, but there's still a bit to teach... And the floor isn't very comfortable." Liechtenstein immediately jumped off and offer him a hand. Even though she doubt that she have enough strength to help him up, it's still polite to offer.
"Did I hurt you, Mr. Spain?" The European girl ask, hoping she didn't break anything.

Spain was incredibly grateful for her hand, and he quickly stood up, rolling his shoulders and rubbing his wrist. "Not really. I've been hurt worse." He assured her, ready to go again. "Besides, it's supposed to hurt a little, but not agonizingly. It's a defensive move just to get your opponent/attacker on the ground and away from you."
He paused, gathering his thoughts. That was one of the most basic moves ever, but now what else should she learn? Chances are, a small weapon would be useful, but all he knew how to use was his battle axe... Hm... the only thing they have going to their advantage was her speed and agility, and his strength. But that's it. Not much of an advantage. Unless... There was one thing...
Strategy.
If they could work out strategies, they would have a chance at winning. Perhaps lure their opponents into traps or something. But how...
The thought of traps gave the Spaniard an idea. "Hey, Liechtenstein, how well can you throw?"

“My throw?” Liechtenstein blushed slightly, not knowing how to answer. “I throw pretty normally, I guess, I haven’t taken any test so I don’t know how good I am but Singapore is a much better thrower than me by far.” If Spain was asking so he could compare between her Asian friend and herself then there’s no doubt that Singapore is a lot better. Liechtenstein would have to practice and train a lot to get to her level but it would won’t be impossible to catch up to her.
But then why would Spain ask about my throw? She thought. Maybe he has a plan! “Mr. Spain, are you coming up with a plan?” The European girl asked.

"Well, lucky for us, we aren't going to be against her." With a brilliant spark in his eyes, Spain turned to the blonde girl. "Also do you think you could throw something small like... a small smoke bomb, per say, if need be?
And I think I have one." With a cheerful smile, he went on. "We don't have much fighting power behind the two of us, seeing as how we're more agile and fast, not powerful. So I was thinking if we could somehow get our opponents into traps. And if you threw a smoke bomb - not enough to hurt them, just enough to daze or blind them for a while - you could easily get one on the ground and I could get the other."
He held one finger to his lips. "But we'll keep that as a surprise tactic, okay?"
