England wasn't very fond of company when it could be avoided. He was very much an unsociable type of person, and he often rather read a book than go mingle with other people.
When he required help from others, though, he knew that it would be required of him to socialize and actually share his bubble with somebody else.
That's why he was extremely reluctant as he approached Ireland, sitting in the common room, to ask her to accompany him to the woods to gather more burning logs. N-Not that he couldn't do it himself, of course not, b-but... Well, he could use a little help with the wood chopping, and Ireland was the only one available, apparently...
"Hello, sister." he called before he could start regretting his decision. "Would you care for a stroll outside today?"

Ireland was usually much more bright and cheery, often getting herself out there to make more friends and just have a good time with people. But since all this chaos had started, she had began to feel tired, and less friendly with the others. Yes, she was still trying to put on a brave face and keep her cheery attitude, but her mind was clearly on other things. Like the fact she may never see her home land again. And that made her feel sick. She might end up spending hours just silently thinking, reminiscing about the time before the madness had started.
That was what she was doing at that moment, her eyes fixated on the blank screen of the television as she sunk deeper into the comfortable sofa, gradually submerging herself deeper in her thoughts. Her fingers drummed a soft rhythm on the shilelagh she had propped up by her side.
Suddenly, she was startled by a voice from behind her.
"Hello, sister. Would you care for a stroll outside today?"
Jumping slightly in her seat, the redhead glanced over her shoulder and gave her brother a weak smile. Maybe she should get out, spend some more time with people. She'd been pretty antisocial compared to her usual self since she'd been here and her brother was trying to make an effort...
"Sure, why the hell not?" Ireland grinned whilst standing up, quickly grabbing the club and strapping it to her belt. "Where to?"
[Sorry for the late reply...]

"Well, it does look like it'll snow outside, soon, and our supply of firewood has been dwindling lately..." England pointed with his thumb at the stack of logs by the fireplace. "I figured since you were the only one available, you would like to help me bring a few back?" he suggested. "It's not really all that far. We have a cutting area with chopped down trees a bit deeper into the forest. We could just go there, chop a few logs, and bring them back."

Ireland raised an eyebrow as she listened to her sibling, tilting her head slightly to the side. "Because I was the only one available?" she scoffed with a hint of sarcasm. "So, not because you wanted to spend time with your sister, eh?" The redhead shook her head slightly and chuckled under her breath. "Alright, I'll help." Ireland sighed with a smile before striding ahead towards the exit. "You've got axes, right?"
[Oh my goodness- I am so sorry I haven't been on! I completely forgot!!]

"W-What? No. I-I don't..." England huffed and crossed his arms, looking away. "Anyways. The axes are by the door. We'll grab them and go." he pointed atthe storage by the door and went for it.
Using his key, he unlocked it, pulling out and axe and throwing it gently at Ireland, hoping she'd catch it by the handle. He then took his own axe and checked the security cameras once before punching in the code for the door. The large double doors opened with an ominous creak, letting the cold air sweep in and drawing a shiver from England.
It would snow, soon.
That's okay~ RL before RP ;w;

Ireland couldn't help but laugh at her brother pouting. She snorted as she tried to hold back a giggle and patted his arm. "I was only teasing. No need to get so worked up!"
Her face suddenly went stern as she nodded and followed England towards the door. Quickly catching the axe by the handle, she sang it a couple of times to check the weight, humming a little to herself. As soon as the doors opened, the redhead found herself shiver at the sudden cold blast.
"We're going to need a lot of firewood," Ireland commented as she stepped outside into the frigid air.

"That's why we're going there in the first place." England swung a bag over his shoulders. "Lest we want everybody in the warehouse to freeze to death. It'll be cold, tonight, but it'll be nicer in a few days. We'll just need to bring back enough firewood to supply us a couple of days before sending a bigger party to stock up entirely when the weather's better." he explained, stepping outside. "Maybe I'll take the second post in guard duty up tonight. I wouldn't want anybody to be stuck outside when it's this cold..." he muttered pensively.

Ireland smirked slight at the Englishman's response, striding ahead as he spoke. Trust England to always be so organised. "I'm sure we can bring back enough for tonight between the two of us," she replied casually, casting a few wary glances as they began making their way further from the safety of the warehouse. She paused and looked back at him over her shoulder, raising a large eyebrow. "Are you sure you want to do look-out?" she asked, concern lacing her think Irish accent. "You've been working your arse off since we arrived, you should get some rest. I could take the shift for you, if you want."

"It'll be fine. I'm waiting for a package from Europe, anyways, so I want to stay up as much as I can until I get it. I don't know when it'll come, but it's during the week, and if it's tonight, it's of utmost importance that I get it." he explained. "Besides, America's the other designated person for watch tonight, and someone has to keep an eye on him so he doesn't go trigger-happy on the zombies. I'll take the first shift with him to try, and most possibly fail, to explain to him how a silent look-out should go."
He spun around and checked for any zombies out in the open before making his way towards the forest, eyes still darting around at the slightest ruffle of vegetation, at the slightest whistle of the wind, and on the lookout for the slightest smell of rot.
