Now that more and more Nations are coming in to help us fight the menace, I feel it is imperative that I share some basic, but extremely important information with you all. Please take the time to read it, as you can never be prepared enough.
~ Zombies attack by putting their hands out and grabbing, then pulling back to bite. Be very careful of hanging elements in your clothing. Tight clothes and tied hair should be your priority when in hand-to-hand combat with zombies.
~ Surviving the attack is not as easy as it sounds. Here are some tips to help all of us stay very much alive :
- Use the food grown in the greenhouse on the roof before canned food. Canned food can be kept longer than fresh vegetables, after all.
- Always sleep with a flashlight and a weapon nearby. Break-ins are entirely unlikely, but we can never predict what could ever happen. In case of break-in, all Nations are required to climb the ladders and huddle on the platforms supporting the bunk beds. Remember to either remove the ladders, or let them fall, as to avoid any chances of zombie pile-up.
- Maintain a low profile, during the day as well as the night. Always keep blackout curtains on the windows and shut them at the first sign of dusk.
-If you want to use outdoors facilities, you may after having made sure that no zombies are nearby. In case of zombie attack when you're outside, DO NOT go for the front door, as it cannot be opened to avoid zombie infiltration inside. Instead, climb one of the metal ladders bolted to the building to the roof, where the door will be opened for you to get inside.
- Exercise daily. It is very important to keep in shape to be able to run, climb, or fight as necessary. Cardiovascular and muscular training should be prioritized, as well as one sort of martial art.
- Stay entertained. Despite the need for vigilance, recreation is a must. A large cache of books, games, programs and such are available in the common room area. In a long and seemingly endless siege, boredom can lead to paranoia, delusions and hopelessness. It is important that you keep your mind as occupied as your body.
- Keep your earplugs handy. If you don't have any, they are available for taking in the storage room. The constant, collective moan of the undead, a sound that could arise at any given moment, can be a deadly form of psychological warfare. The last thing we need is anybody going insane from these moans. You do not have to use your earplugs every time you hear a moan. You could simply use them when you sleep, or when a Class 3 or 4 outbreak is declared, or a Blackout is called.
Of course, it goes without saying that using earplugs when outside the warehouse is a HUGE no. Do not impair any of your senses when you are exposed.
- If ever the walls are breached, follow the escape directions given by me. We'll basically climb the stairs to the second floor, and access the roof from there. Once on the roof, it will be decided whether to last out the siege on the roof, or to escape towards the forest by using the ladders. There will be an area inside the greenhouse itself where a few survival packs will be stored, in case of flight instead of fight.
- Survival packs will contain the following objects: a few pairs of socks, two water bottles, water-purification tablets, Wind and waterproof matches, a bandana, a map of the immediate surrounding area, a compass, two small flashlights with two replacement batteries, a small signalling mirror, a sleeping bag, a palm-sized first-aid kit, a Swiss army knife, a pair of walkie-talkies with an earpiece, a knife, binoculars, secondary firearms (usually a pistol), fifty rounds for said firearm, a hand weapon (sometimes, it's a machete, other times, it's an axe), two light steel crowbars, a cleaning kit and signal flares. A pack is designed to fit for two people, three in desperate cases.
~ Ten essential rules that everybody should know by heart:
1- Organize before they rise!
2- They feel no fear, so why should you?
3- Use your head; cut off theirs.
4- Blades don't need reloading.
5- Ideal protection = tight clothes, short hair.
6- Get up the staircase, then destroy it.
7- Get out of the car, get onto the bike.
8- Keep moving, keep low, keep quiet, keep alert!
9- No place is safe, only safer.
10- The zombie may be gone, but the threat lives on.

And please, Nations, remember:
You are not alone. We will prevail with our back covering another, or we will fall hand-in-hand.
