Belgium was setting up the picnic. Blanket was already in the ground, blades of grass peeking under the red-white-checked cloth. Snow had started to melt, revealing the grass patches here and there. Sun was shining, with clouds passing over at times. Sun heated the ground up a bit, so it wasn’t cold to sit on the ground. Well, almost ground, since they were sitting on a picnic blanket.
Of course, being outside they had to look out for zombies. It wasn’t hard, since you could see almost everything in the plains. In the other hand, zombies could see you too. She had her gun and dagger in her pocket, just in case something would happen. She really hoped nothing would. It was such a nice day, and in between all this chaos it would be fun to enjoy a nice day with no interruptions.
Manon started to put the foods on the blanket. She had eaten breakfast, but nothing after, and was getting pretty hungry. Just as she thought so, her stomach growled. It was obviously a time to eat. Everything was ready and set, it was time to eat!

"Belgium?" Sey asked. She peeped from behind a thin tree. Sey step away from the tree and made her way to Belgium. "What are you doing here?" Sey asked again, " Most importantly, can I join you?"
Here is what happened; Sey was on her way to the river to catch some fish, but when she was at the river she got chased by some zombies. She managed to climb up a tree and hopped to another tree by another, though she fell down sometimes. At least she lost them. Sey was also lost so she wandered around the forest holding her shovel tightly cto her. And then she found Belgium.

First surprised, then happy by comer, European nation greeted her with a cheerful “Hello!”
“Of course you can join. Come on and sit.” she continued, and patted the blanked as a gesture to strengthen her words. She was happy about the turn of events, since didn’t have to eat alone which was great. Belgium had always preferred company to solitude. Sure, she was independent and able to be alone, but the more the merrier. “So, what brought you here?” As usual, Manon was curious about others, and what they did. Also, if she remembered right, other girl was a groundskeeper, so she probably didn’t have any tasks outside the warehouse. Well, she herself was outside as well, and not because her work, so who was she to say. Belgium knew that it was dangerous outside, obviously because the undead roaming there. But spending her whole freetime in the warehouse? Didn’t sound pleasant. Not that the warehouse was a bad place, actually it was surprisingly comfortable. But thought of only being inside made her feel a bit claustrophobic.

"Well... I was chased by some zombies..." Seychelles tried to recall, for having a short term memory. "Then I climbed up a tree for safety.... But then they won't go away... So I ran away.... And I'm here!~" Seychelles answered happily. She took out a tuna sandwich and munched on it, enjoying every taste of the tuna. Seychelles happily ate, totally forgetting about the huge amount of zombies wandering in the forest.
"Hey Bel!~" Seychelles randomly said. "This sandwich is delicious!~" Sey giggled happily at the taste of GOOD food. Unlike her, Sey as pretty bad at cooking.

For a moment Belgium had already been afraid for the younger nation, as zombies were no matter of joke. Luckily – and obviously – other had got away, so it was useless to worry anymore. She just hoped that the zombies had stayed in the forest… Manon herself hadn’t been in North America very long, and hadn’t really encountered zombies yet either. Sure, far away she had seen them, but there had never been a need to run away or fight. As a scout it wasn’t really her job.
Glad to hear the other liked the food, she took a tuna sandwich as well, since she already ate a chicken one. European nation enjoyed cooking, and over the years she had got better in it. It calmed her down, as well as made her feel useful and good at something. She tried to value things others did, but bad food was something she couldn’t stand.
Returning to her earlier thought, she just had to ask Seychelles “How long have you been here? I mean, in the warehouse and such.” Seemed that African nation was already used to running away from zombies, so she was curious about this.

((Seys in between asian and african part of the world XD))
"Me? About a couple of months i surppose..." Sey happily said. Not that she was happy here, i mean, she would like it if life was back to normal. But she liked it when she was with people. Most of the time she was alone, but now that she wasin the warehouse she has a lot of people to talk to.
"I heard you just came right?" Seychelles asked. She has'nt really seen Belgium before here, though there were many countries here.

“That’s right”, answered European nation to the question. Answer came out muffled, as he was eating the sandwich while talking. She swallowed, and repeated the answer, as previous probably wasn’t heard. “Yeah, I haven’t been here very long yet.” Once again, her mind wandered back to thoughts of her homeland. She remembered warm days of summer, streets filled with people, laugh and chatter of them. Beautiful architecture of the towns and villages, and delicious waffles and the best chocolate in the world.
Food here wasn’t really to be praised, but Manon didn’t whine. She knew that they tried to survive here, and there was no possibility for luxuries. She should be grateful that she was even able to go to picnic such as this. And actually, right now she was happy. Well, she was happy most of the time, but right now everything just felt okay in middle of this mess.
While in her thoughts, she had taken a pie out of the basket she had kept the food in. She started to cut it into slices, and offered to another nation as well, by saying “Do you want a piece?” and handing a slice towards her. The pastry was made with strawberry jam found from a kitchen cabinet. It definitely wasn’t as good as one made of real strawberries, but still, better than nothing.

Sey smiled and took the peice of sandwich Bel had offered her. Taking a bit into it, Sey's smile grew wider. Nothing was better than food! Bel's sandwich were great too! Sey could'nt stop munching on the sandwich, though her face was alredy messed up with bread crumps and little bits of food.
" Well then," Seychelles said, trying to swallow the food in her mouth fast. " Welcome to the warehouse!" Seychelles giggled. As a half asian, she was alays welcoming people. Seychelles wiped some food of her face, giving her famous smile. Just then, there was a noise at the bushes right in front of them. A soft and dragging moan came from the bush. "Shit..." Sey said. She took out her shovel and stayed on guard. " They followed me..." Sey said shackily.

The bushes around them moved, making a scraping sound. Leaves dropped to ground as whatever it was came out from the plants. At first Belgium wasn’t sure they were, but after hearing the horrified words of the younger nation panic started to rise in her mind as well. Atmosphere had completely changed, from happiness to fear. Even the temperature seemed to cool down. For a second, she couldn’t do anything. Young woman just stared in silence, shocked from the sudden development. But as soon as the undead let out a terrible noise, she started to look for her gun.
The forthcoming zombies that did not stop and their weird mixture of muttering and growling and heavily breathing made the situation extremely pressuring. European nation managed to find her handgun, but dropped it due to her shaking hands. “Shit!” she whispered, just loud enough to be heard. Manon rarely cursed, but it happened under stress at times. With trembling fingers, she picked the pistol up and prepared to shoot.

Holding her shovel closly to her, she turned around to look at her friend found friend. "Let's be careful and-" Sey paused. She noticed that Belgium was trembling heavily, meaning her friend was scared. Well it was normal to see her friend scared. Since it was her first itme in this situation. Sey tried to make the arua around her a bit cooler."-don't worry, we will get out alive! I promise!" Sey changed what she wanted to say and made her sound happy. She hope that she can get her friend to calm down.
But there was not much time. Taking up a peice of sandwich, she bit it and let it stayed in her mouth. A zombie came out of no where and ran as fast as the undead can. On her guard, Sey examined her enemy and found and weak spot. Swallowing her sandwich, she smashed her bloody shovel and the neck of the zombie, making its head fall of. Sey smashed it and made sure it was dead before checking on her friend. "You ok?" She asked, feeling a sense of pride in her for no reason.
