It's cool! It's not an obligation, it's just if you want to do it

WELL I GOT ONE ANYWAY! I think. We'll see how well it works, egad.
So...could tie in with the repairs, I dunno, but what happened if there was some sort of failure. Like, boom, power's out, possibly water, too, and then they have to get through it somehow and find a way to repair it.
I'm really uncreative. I'm trying. My brain is fried, but I wanna still contribute somehow.

God damn you people. You're all so smart and come up with such amazing ideas. Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here like:

HAHAHA THAT PICTURE. Don't worry, Tina If you ever think up of something, be it a complete idea or just a basic concept, just come discuss it here, and we'll all make a prompt together :3 Of course, it's entirely voluntary! If you're not much for creating and more for writing, you're welcome to just pick out prompts and RP them as you wish~ You don't have to create things from scratch

One more question. Due to a nation's body constantly trying to regenerate, they won't rot and will have to be purposefully destroyed to end their unlife, won't they? So a nation could turn zombie and still look fully alive for the duration of their unlife?

Not really o3o Since the parts of the brain that control vital functions like respiration and involuntary muscles like the heart are dead, the heart doesn't pump blood anymore, which means that oxygen doesn't get to cells anymore, which means that their body is in constant degradation. Same concept as the brain's constant degradation cycle: when, say, a healthy skin cell is born, it quickly dies because blood doesn't circulate, and doesn't bring it any oxygen. Basically, a zombie's body is controlled by electrical impulses, kinda like how dead people can still have spasms minutes after dying. Except... a zombie's after-death spasms are a lot stronger, and last for 3 to 5 years (before the brain completely rots, liquefies, and is thus destroyed). A lot of this theory is imperfect and unrealistic. But then again, this is fiction, so we can do what we want, right? I'm just trying to make it sound.... at least moderately probable xD
Does that sound...... plausible in the least? ;w;

Okay, so we've touched upon regenerating and stuff. Thought I might as well bring something sorta similar to that back. Nation A loses a limb or something, and it'll regrow in time, yes? However, I've yet to see anything kinda go through that whole process of regeneration. Regarding Hetalia, anyway. (There's this awesome book in which one of the characters has to kinda regrow his body parts, so I'm sort of getting a bit of inspiration from that.)
Soooo, how will that work out? Does it hurt, does it take a while, what does the nation do while their limbs are regrowing? Maybe they go in a coma/sleep (that's how it was in the book, and based on science-y stuff that I know nothing about, maybe it works that way), or maybe they're actually awake for at least part of the process or maybe they just...know that they lost a limb before they go to sleep.
Also, I wanted to get some intelligent opinions on this- under certain circumstances, do you think the limb will take longer to grow back? How does infection affect the regeneration process?
(My thoughts are jumbled, pardon me.)

My opinion is:
Limbs grow back whenever, wherever. It takes time, though, so the nations have to protect and take care of the injured area until it's fully recovered. It's a gross sensation, and it hurts if the regrowth area is really big, so they generally rather NOT get a limb chopped off xD
And yeah, I think the limb won't regenerate until the wound is clean, so infection will indefinitely stall the regeneration process o3o

Okay, good, that makes sense. X'D Just making sure everyone was on the same page just in case an incident like this ever occurred.

Quick question, when are zombies done being zombies? Like at what point do they cease function?
I've had to do some research on human decomposition for my forensics class and it seems that up until two months or so after death the body should be all skeletal remains and therefore not moving at all.
Also, rigor mortis would help support why they can't move very fast: all their muscles are rigid from rigor morits. Unless that stops somehow? Like, how can we factor this in, if at all?
Literally I have an entire timeline of the process of decomposition. It's very detailed. And honestly after being dead for 3 days the zombies would be really, really terrifying like more than you would think with all the bloating and swelling and the fluid dripping and-- ugh.
Though yeah, I'd like to throw out that what they're probably seeing are most that are dead after 3 weeks because of the loss skin, hair and nails and the skin burst open on many parts of the body.
Also throwing in livor mortis, their blood would be in the bottom of their body (so like their feet if they were walking around) and that's like... after 30 minutes and they would actually be blue and their eyes sunk into their skull.
Okay I'll stop here if you guys think this should be discussed, feel free to. Just... no pictures. Please. I've seen enough in my research. ;;

That sounds gross xD
A commonly accepted rule of zombies is that they have a "lifespan" of 3-5 years, until their flesh is too rotten to be able to follow their brains' electrical signals. Rigor mortis does explain why they go slow, but it's mostly the fact that their cerebellum is unable to coordinate high impact activity, which includes running. At most, the freshest zombies would be able to walk fast, but even someone turned into a zombie an hour ago would not be able to run.
I dunno, I like to think that they don't behave as regular dead because of the radiation fucking up their brain. They are very pale, grey, even, because the blood doesn't circulate anymore, but that's basically the extent of my biologically-realistic explanation on zombies. About time, I dunno, maybe the electrical impulses in their neurons keep the muscles active though there's no blood pumping in them, which prevents them from degrading as fast? I dunno xD

I can handle explicit descriptions. IT'S THE FUCKING PICTURES I CAN'T--;;;
Okay, just checking.
Yeah, that'd make sense. oco That'd stop them from degrading too much. Should I keep the timeline somewhere here or like make a new one? Because I find it interesting to throw in actual decomposition rates for "THE MORE YOU KNOW". And it'd be a good reference too. oco
