[Unimaginative tittle =D]
Portugal walked across the empty landscape, glad that she didn't have to walk all that far to the warehouse. She could already see it, large and very different against the rest of the area. The nation was walking along the edge between large plains and forest, thinking that if any stray zombies happened to pop out she could just run up a tree or something and toss things at them until they left. Or jump on them, which would probably turn out awfully disgusting because they were all squishy.
Kicking a stray pebble, Portugal held her long stick at the ready. It was mostly a mid-ranged weapon due to its length, but it really depended on how one used the thing. She had it over one shoulder, and the stick had a brown stain on the top from where it had been dragged along the ground earlier.
As she approached the warehouse, Portugal inspected the thing. It was quite large, though that was to be expected from a house (of sorts) that was supposed to house quite a few people. Skipping forward a few steps, the Portuguese girl wondered what type of foods they would have there. Hopefully a good selection, because what kind of safety house thing would it be without some food? Not a very good one, that's for sure.
Breaking away from the treeline a bit, Portugal clutched her trusty stick a bit harder, as she felt more exposed out here. Thought the same went for the freaky slime-o zombies. Switching her stick from her right hand to the left, she raised her hand and knocked on the door, hoping to get a quick answer. Nobody would want to get stuck out here for any length of time, especially at night.
Portugal shivered slightly at the thought and waited for a response.

((It's cool~ ^^ Mine don't make any sense sometimes. XD))
Spain smiled, feeling oddly refreshed from his quick siesta. Others would call him lazy, but he really needed it; sometimes it felt as if he worked 24/7. Maintaining a warehouse was hard work, even if he had help! At least now he actually had time to slip in a quick nap - although it was only around 10 minutes instead of his usual hour.
As he had been walking to the kitchen to start preparing dinner, a knock on the warehouse door caught his attention. England hadn't told him about anyone who was supposed to arrive yet...
Cautiously, he picked up a dagger and held it by his side (just in case it was something not very nice). He knew that the scouts would have already seen something coming, but you never know...
With a heaving shove, he opened the heavy metal door just enough to see who was outside it.
A mop of brown hair similar to his own and a scar over the left eye was what greeted him.
And that could only mean one person.
"PORTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY~!" With a huge smile (and a drop of his dagger) he grabbed his sister in a huge hug and pulled her in, setting her down for only a second so he could close the door, only to pick her up again in a three-second bear hug. "What are you doing here? I didn't know you were arriving so soon! In fact, I hadn't heard a thing about you! Stupid Eyebrows... Anyway, how was your trip? Did you run into any zombies? If you did, we need to tell someone so we can keep an accurate record. Ah! You're probably hungry! You came just in time then, I was just about to make dinner!" He rambled on and on and on while dragging her to the kitchen and setting her down in a nearby chair. "Here, some tea~" With a fresh cup of tea sat in front of her, he went back to preparing everything. "What position are you going to be? I'm a groundskeeper~ But we need more medics, that's for sure."

Portugal blinked, surprised, for a moment before smiling broadly and reaching up to pat Spain on the head. "Ola, Spain!" She waved, setting her stick on the ground. (Though even then it still was a good six inches taller than she was, which made her look even shorter than she already was). Completely bombarded by the other nation's seemingly endless supply of questions, she tried to answer them all as best she could.
"England didn't say anything because I, er, forgot to tell him..." Portugal laughed shakily and flapped her hand around. "I didn't see any slimy zombies," Thankfully.
She followed him into what was evidently the kitchen, and was plopped down into a chair. Portugal leaned her stick against the wall after a few tries (as it kept sliding down the wall). She glared at it, as though she could scare it into staying still. "Ah, thanks for the tea!" Portugal took a sip of it and set it back down on the table. "Oh...Minuteman, probably. I'm no good at injuries and all that stuff," She laughed again. People could multitask anyways, if the situation was bad enough. You didn't need training to wrap a bandage. Portugal could certainly imagine Spain as being a groundskeeper, though, that sounded boring to her.
"What'cha making?" She hoped it involved fish. But it would probably be hard to get the stuff way out here in the middle of nowhere.

Spain pulled out various spices and herbs and organized all of them in his special order (that most would call just complete chaos).
"Well, you're here now, that's all that matters~" He bent over to look in the freezer for his meat and managed to find some vegetables. "Ah~ I see!" Nodding as well as kicking the door shut, he set everything in his arms down on the counter and took a deep breath, ready to start working.
"I'm working on making some fish. We don't have a lot of meat around here, so we take what we can get. We tend to eat a lot of fish from the nearby river. You might have passed it on the way here, depending on the direction you came from~."
Noticing how her pole kept falling, he picked it up and leaned it in between two tall cabinets so it wouldn't fall down, asking her to remember it's there.
"Is there anything in particular you want with dinner, Porty? I mean, we're always looking for interesting ideas~ Plus, you just got here! Consider it a welcoming meal~"

Portugal finished off her tea as she watched Spain bustle around the kitchen gathering various edibles and then dumping them on the counter in a haphazard pile. The tea was good, thankfully. She laughed loudly, "No, I didn't see a river. Should I have?" Knowing herself as best she did, Portugal thought, there probably was a more right way to come to the base then just walk straight and get there eventually.
"What kind of fish? Do you know?" Portugal couldn't see if from where she was sitting, and even then it was probably all chopped up.
Thanking Spain as he moved her amazing fighting stick (she should name it) away from where it would slide down the wall and get in the way, she gave it one look and decided that she would probably forget it there as soon as she desperately needed the thing. It would camouflage into the wall and lurk.
"Uh, nothing specific," Um, a five course meal with dessert? Yea, no. Probably wasn't going to happen way out here on Planet X.

Puffing out his cheek in thought, Spain rearranged the pile of supplies. "Ah, then you probably came from another direction is all. Don't worry~"
He began slicing up the pile of fish even finer, trying to use as much of it as possible. "I don't know. Ever since the zombie infection happened, even the animals have been mutated. So I wouldn't even be able to tell you what it was before."
With a sigh, he sprinkled some herbs on the fish and threw it into a pan, already heating it up and sauteing it. "Are you sure? I mean, I can make pretty much any meal you can think of." He loved cooking anyway, and so long as he had the supplies, he could pull it off.

"Is it safe to eat infected food?" Portugal eyed the fish warily. Even if it looked tasty enough, what if other things had gotten into it and made it all weird? Wouldn't some animals start dying out if they got enough weird infection things? Poor fishies.
"No, no, it's alright, Espanha." She fiddled with the now empty teacup in front of her. It seemed almost out of place at the base, strangely.

With a nod, the Iberian nation flipped the fish around, cooking the other side. "It's alright. Besides, it's not like any of us can die from food poisoning. We're a bit tougher than that~" With a chuckle he added more spices and switched to chopping some vegetables. "Just remind me one day to make you something special, okay?" He winked, smiling. "You are mi hermana, after all~"

"Okay, fine. And it's minha irmã, silly," She said, correcting his way of speaking for the ump-thousandth time. At least the gesture was nice, she supposed.

((I feel like I say this over and over, but since our thread relies a lot on dialogue, short posts are better. ^^; There is no such thing as a fail post on this thread or any that needs a lot of talking.))
"No it's not~" Spain cocked his head and sighed with a hint of a smile. She always corrected his language, even though his was right. "And there's no such thing as a 'wrong' language~ We both took ours from Latina Antiqua~ Same with France's and a few other nation's~" With the air now smelling of delicious fish and food in general, he took the meat off the stove and switched it to another pan, where he expertly mixed the chopped vegetables and fish until they were all one mixture and slid it onto different plates, handing one to Portugual.
"So~ Tell me what you think~

[[Okieeeeeee]]
Portugal pouted and absentmindedly brushed some imaginary dust off the table. She still liked to believe that her language was MORE correct than everybody else.
Taking the plate from Spain, Portugal thought that it looked rather tasty, especially since she hadn't expected to get anything remotely tasty while in what was essentially a base for war. "Looks good," Portugal said. "But you wouldn't just happen to have some kind of eating utensil...?"

Spain tapped a hand to his forehead. "I can't believe I forgot!" He laughed a bit and half-smiled, setting a fork down next to his sister. "I must be more tired than I thought!"
He leaned against the table, elbows propped up and his chin in his hands with an expectant smile on his face. "So~?"

[Haha, it's alright]
Laughing slightly, Portugal accepting the fork and dug into the meal that had been prepared by the other nation. Chewing and swallowing, Portugal nodded happily.
"It's pretty good," She said, taking another bite, not realizing she had been so hungry until she actually put something into her mouth.

Spain smiled, more to himself. She seemed hungrier than she put off and he was glad that she was eating. She seemed a bit thin to him and needed some food in her stomach. Plus, food was the easiest way to make her happy (or at least in his mind it was).
"Argentina made some treats a while ago, do you want some?" He remembered seeing her famous pastries in the kitchen and was a bit disappointed when she didn't invite him to cook it, but he recalled seeing Lars with her, so it was a good sight for him. Very entertaining, actually, when he reminded himself of it.
"Oh, and in case you're wondering, Landy's here as well. I'm sure you'd like to talk to him~" He knew very well the pair had a long history together and figured that she'd want to see him at some point, especially if they were to work together.

Mouth still partially full of food, Portugal answered anyways, "Hm? Swure, I'wl 'ave some," she said, nodding along with her basically unintelligible speech. Portugal did remember tasting some of those treats some time ago, and they had been pretty tasty then.
Swallowing, Portugal smiled a bit. "Netherland's here? Excellent," Portugal nodded again then took another bite of her food, enjoying it.
