As she suspected, Hong Kong was already diving for her feet, attempting to trip her. Singapore could feel the rules of gravity being enforced on her already. She didn't want to lose this way, so as a solution, she did something that she regretted doing later. In fact, it was a horrible move that could present a huge casualty. But if it weren't for Singapore's confidence in her aim, she wouldn't have done it.
She adjusted one of the knives in her hands and threw it right in front of Hong Kong. It seemed like time slowed down as the knife flew in midair. She held her breath as it missed Hong Kong and brushed the side of his head, practically cutting a bit of his hair. Then, she used the other knife and threw it in front of his face. Hoping that she made him lose his balance as well.
'Please work!' Singapore pleaded to herself. 'PLEASE WORK!!!'

Hong Kong heard the whistle of the blade as it passed dangerously close to his ear, ducking slightly to the left. Which was probably the only reason the sparring session didn't end abruptly, with Singapore having to call a medic. Her second knife flew sloppily towards him, and he easily slide out of it's pathway. The momentary opening gave him the room to swipe his blade down, aiming for her wrist. With her two weapons gone, she would be practically defenseless.
This was a chance he could not miss.

'Great! I forgot about his sword.' Singapore scolded herself.
Singapore had to think fast, she hypothesized that Hong Kong thought that she had only two knives when actually she had three knives. If she could just get to her pocket. But that didn't work. She felt her body land on the ground and ducked out of Hong Kong's way. She reached into her pocket and pulled out two more knives. But she didn't attack, because from what she saw, Hong Kong had the 'higher' ground. So, she put her knives in front of her for defense. She could only hope that this was enough to block his blow.

'Where the heck does she keep all of those dangerous weapons....?' Hong Kong thought briefly, before noticing that he was in a better position of attack then he had been before. Grinning -only slightly sadistically- he whipped his blade back into the air and brought the edge back down onto Singapore knives.
He could hear metal against metal and struggled to push Singapore off balance, just a little.

As Singapore suspected, the physical force of a male was and is always more than a female's. As Hong Kong's blade hit her two knives, she fell down while still blocking Hong Kong's sword. She tried to push him away, but he hardly budged. She adjusted her legs so that it held her body weight. She tried pushing up and she managed to put herself into a kneeling position.
Now, she didn't know what to do. She could't move her hands, or Hong Kong's blade will have a path to cross, she couldn't move her legs, otherwise she would be on the floor again. So, she did something that she would never do at home. She spit in his face.

Hong Kong resisted the urge to wipe the spit off his face and held his ground against Singapore. Now, it was all a battle of foul play and endurance. He smiled, pushing forward just a little, moving his blade slightly up her knives.
The screeching noise the movement made the brunette wince, closing his eyes for only a second. Which he realized was a huge mistake.

Singapore felt more pressure from Hong Kong. This was a bad thing for Singapore, she knew that anymore and her physical strength would fail her. The noise that the blades gave out pained her ears and she had to resist the temptation of covering her ears. Then, she saw her opportunity as Hong Kong closed his eyes.
'Got you!!' Singapore thought to herself.
Singapore sliced her knives across so that she left herself open, then she moved to Hong Kong's side with lightning speed. Finally, she swung her knife and aimed for his neck. However, she purposely missed him so that her wrist slightly tapped the side of his neck.
"Looks like a win for me." Singapore announced.

((You called me a girl XD))
"Yes, yes, don't get all snobby about it," Hong Kong grudgingly accepted his defeat, waving his hand dismissively. He pushed himself up off the ground and went to retrieve his sword. After doing so, he turned back to face the other Asian and got back into a defensive stance.
"Let's see if you can do it a second time,"

((Oops!! Sorry! I changed it already, so it should be fine. So sorry!!!!))
"Let's see if you can do it a second,"
To think that Hong Kong would accept defeat was really beyond Singapore'd expectations. Well, this reminded her of how long they've been apart. It had been so long that Simgapore could't predict his emotions and guessed what he was thinking! And not only that, he was challenging her! He was challenging her!!
'No, that guy would never do that.' Singapore thought to herself. 'He's probably just testing me, or maybe he has a plan on how to win me on this round.'
Singapore's thoughts went around in circles, not finding the right destination. She was going to find out his true motives.
"Wow, the world seems to be ending! To think that Hong Kong would challenge a 'little girl' like me. Have you lost your ego already?" Singapore taunted.

"No, but your ego seems to be too big for your body, Girlie," Hong Kong's face remained impassive as he waited for Singapore to give some kind of response. Would she lose her cool like last time?
Or would they continue throwing degrading comments at another until they really couldn't work together, and he'd be forced to ask to switch partners?

Her face turned red at such an incredible speed she felt as if she was going to pass out. In fact, so much blood rushed from her body to her head, she lost her grip on her knife and felt herself go on her knees. She didn't understand why she had to be so emotional now. And not only that, she didn't know why she was so emotional in front of that guy. Maybe it was because she still had a small part of her that remembered how close she was to Hong Kong. Maybe it was because it was Hong Kong who was calling her names that triggered her the most.
"Why... Why do you always have to be like that?" Singapore asked. She put her head in her hands to hide her tears. "This is why I hate you so much!"

It took Hong Kong a moment to realize that Singapore was actually crying about what he had said. He hadn't meant for her to cry.
But it was over and down with, and now her was sure he had lived in the Kirkland family for at least one part of his life, because he seemed incapable of going over and patting her on the shoulder. Instead he just stood in place awkwardly, trying to figure out what to do. In his mind, he had two options. One, try to comfort her and probably get in even more trouble, or two...
"Hey, I didn't really mean that. Let's ask England to drop out, as it's obvious we can't work together efficiently,"

When she heard Hong Kong's suggestion on dropping out, almost immediately, he stopped crying. She knew that she didn't work well with Hong Kong, but she didn't want to drop out of the tournament. Actually, the reason that part of her wanted to be in the tournament was because she thought she could be closer to Hong Kong. She wanted to be a part f a family again. She wanted him to exonerate somewhat of an older brother to her, just like they did in the past. But to think that they would hate each other to extent of killing each other scared her... A lot.
"No!" Singapore shouted at him. "I want to be in the tournament."

By the look on Singapore's face, Hong Kong could tell that she really did want to win. And he wasn't one to say no to a fight. But the thought of dropping out and not having to deal with the girl any more was very tempting. Shaking his head slightly, he scolded himself mentally.
"Fine. But the offer still stands," He turned away from the other nation, dropping his swords and made to cross the room. Reaching the opposite wall, he leaned against it with arms crossed. He could at least take a small break.

Singapore felt releived when Hong Kong decided against going out from the competition. She went to retrieve her knives before sitting down and sharpening them. As she did, she started humming the Singapore anthem. She muttered some of the malay words out as well. .
She pause from sharpening her knives and took a look at it. She was satisfied with the current sharpness and tucked them into her pockets. Then she took off her glasses and started polishing them. At the same time, she wondered how she could strengthen her relationship with Hong Kong. It was obvious that they couldn't go on far enough with the current situation. The only way to settle this was probably an apology.
"Saya minta maaf." she apologized, not knowing that she was speaking in Malay. When she finally realized, she worried if Hong Kong would be able to understand.
