I figured a small FAQ would be useful to newcomers or first-time roleplayers... If you have a question you want answered, create a thread in the questions section because this is a read-only thread. If you question is general enough to be useful to others, I'll add it on the FAQ.
Thank you!

Q: What is karma?
A: Karma is a system the forum provides that keeps track of a point total for each member. The point total does nothing more than show how much a person is appreciated, so everybody, give positive karma to everybody you see, and you'll get positive karma in return!
Basically, "Exalt" gives somebody a +1 on their total, and "Smite" gives them a -1. The total can be found under their avatars.
Once you hit zero, and get smitten, you go into negative numbers.

Q: How many roleplays can I be in at the same time?
A: As many as you like, you don't actually have to finish up in one thread to start another. As long as you don't disregard one of your roleplays in the favour of another, it's completely fine to have 5, 10, even 15 roleplays going on!

Q: I don't understand what to do with the riddle in the rules!
A: It's quite simple, really. At the bottom of the rules, there are numbers seperated by slashes, right? It's written on top of them "Section/ Rule number".
Basically, just number the sections in the rules, and number the paragraphs in each section. After that, just use the numbers given to find the letters necessary to make your codeword. The first letter of the rule is the letter you need to retain.

Q: I don't like my duty position/ bunk mate. Can I change them?
A: Yes, and yes. For the duty position, you can change it at will, although let's try to keep it as constant as possible. Just remember to change the correct section in your application to match your new duty position. Also, please send me a PM when you change it, so I can be aware of any changes being done.
As for bunk mates, I'm the only one that can change them, so if you rather have someone else as your bunk mate, message me to ask for a change. Beware, though, for the changes will only be made if I receive a "Yes" from all 4 people involved in the switch: the two bunk mates on each of the two bunks that want a switch. One "No" will cancel the switch. The vote will be done over PM so that nobody can be biased.

Q: Do I have to create a new thread in the appropriate location every time my character goes from one location to another in the same RP?
A: Of course not! If you start out in the Common room, say, and your characters end up deciding to to eat something in the kitchen and go watch the sunset on the roof, you should simply continue your RP to its end in the Common room thread. No need to create three different threads in three different places. This is to avoid thread clogging on the forum.

Q: How do I access my PMs? How do I send a PM to someone?
A: You can access your PMs by clicking on the number on top of your page, right below the site navigation buttons. It says "You have _ new messages", so you can click on the number in dark blue there to access your Inbox.
As for sending PMs, there are two ways:
1) Through the inbox: Just click on "Send new", and as a recipient, you have to enter the person's USERNAME. Attention, use their USERNAME, not their DISPLAY NAME. Their username can be found on their profile, on the dark blue bar on top of their avatars.
2) Through the person's profile: Simply go to the recipient's profile and click on "Send Private Message", in dark blue at the top.

Q: I'm confused about the backstory... Which Nations are infected, and which aren't? What about Asia, is it too far from North America to be touched by the rays/infection? Why is the base set in Canada?
A: Infected Nations Alright, so the meteorite crashed somewhere in North America. The waves dispersed and mutated, first of all, inhabitants of Canada and the USA. Then, obviously, came South America, a bit further away. Across the Pacific, Japan was also hit by the shockwaves, as well as the tip of Russia. Unfortunately, the Sigma rays aren't the only thing that can turn someone into a zombie: bites can, too. That's why all the Nations have been "infected" to a certain degree, because immigration, traveling, and people moving from country to country have dispersed the infection.
Thankfully, since none of the Nations other than Canada and America have had a majority of their population turned into zombies, the special forces managed to react quickly and contain the menace. Since North America took the brunt of the hit, they couldn't, because too many people were turned into zombies for the authorities to control.
After that happened, Mexico closed off and reinforced its borders with North America, and all of Central and South America isolated itself to avoid having the infection spread down. All the people that fled from North America went to Europe, the easiest destination, and so, technically, the Nations in Western Europe would be the ones hit with second-degree infections brought by immigrants. Same for Japan, and from Japan, infection through humans could have spread to the continent, Korea, China, Russia, and so on.
Basically, the Nations that were hurt the least by this thing were African nations (nobody goes there), Middle Eastern nations (approximatively opposite to North America on the globe), Central/South America (they have closed off their borders and have become completely isolated), and Oceania (only 3rd degree infection could have gotten there, as it is too far to be a choice destination for fleeing North Americans).
tl;dr All the Nations have had some of their citizens zombie-fied at some point. None of the Nations have suffered an outbreak like the one in North America, though, because they were able to contain the menace.
Asian Nations As you get further away from the coast of the Pacific, the infection becomes less and less serious. It's a domino effect, but with each domino that topples over, the force of the infection gets smaller and smaller. That's why the Middle East timezones are the safest spots: because they're too far from North America from both the East and the West for the infection to have become too serious when it reached them.
Warehouse Location As mentioned in the backstory, the Nations' goal isn't just to find a cure to the zombie bites, it's mainly to eradicate the menace. They have been stationned in Canada, in the heart of the infection, because their job is to find what causing it all, and destroying it. They also have to do their best to completely decimate the population of zombies, to potentially clear the way for the return of human inhabitation. Killing zombies isn't something they can do on distance.
