Deciding that being a lab scientist would be preferable to anything else once he knew Japan was one, Greece had gotten England's permission to change out his duties and join Japan in the lab. He wasn't normally one for parties either, but when it was just one or two other people that's when he enjoyed it. In fact he'd made sure to be the first to arrive, and would be careful not to fall asleep like he often seemed to.
He couldn't wait to see what the other two had in mind, he didn't really have any ideas and preferred to just go along with whatever everyone else wanted to do as he casually listened to his iPod waiting for them.

(AAAAAH I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS WAS HERE D: We should tell Denmark it's here too I think ^^'))
Japan truly did not like parties.
He enjoyed his festivals, when he chose to attend, but that was because the festivals always had purpose. And he always had a purpose in them, whether he was part of the planning or whether he chose to take up an instrument. Rarely did he simply go to a festival to 'enjoy' it, as he might have done in his younger years. He felt the same about parties, though they were clearly designed for relaxation and socializing rather than organized dance troops. Of course, parties could have all of the elements of a festival, but he found that in general parties were rather chaotic affairs, with very little mandates other than 'socialize' and 'have fun'. He wasn't against parties, but they weren't exactly his...thing, as America would have put it.
But his usual experiences with parties were ones thrown by America, or some other nation (Prussia) that felt that bigger was better and invited more than half the world. So when Greece of all nations invited him to a party in the lab, he decided that for once, perhaps he could make going to a party his 'thing'. He was honestly surprised that Greece had been the one to suggest it, as opposed to Denmark. Still, the lab wasn't exactly the most ideal place for a party, but if Greece felt like celebrating the new team of scientists well...he really couldn't say no, could he?
He decided to spend the time before the party in the kitchen, making food and gathering drinks for their get together. He avoided what little alcohol they had, only because a drinking game in the middle of a science lab just screamed dangerous. He carried the tray of food towards the lab, hoping that the others were already there and that he had made enough. He didn't want to waste their food supply, but still proper parties had at least some food and drink. He nudged the lab door open with his shoulder, noticing immediately that Greece was the only one there.
"Please forgive my late arrival." He set the food down on an empty table, preparing to go out again to fetch the drinks. "I will return in a moment with a few more things. I apologize if I have kept you waiting, Greece-san."
