Bored.
Bored bored bored bored bored.
Spain was SO BORED he resorted to reading.
About himself.
Now normally he would have plenty to keep him occupied but everyone around him insisted on doing everything he usually did.
So here he was, laying upside down on Norway's bottom bunk, reading.
About himself.
He decided to pick up a book - The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemmingway - because it had the picture of a matador on the front and he was curious to see how accurate this American got it.
And he got it very accurate. Dull since there was little to no detail and it read like a newspaper, but he didn't mind.
Though he wished someone would pester him and give him something to do.

Humming sweetly to herself Czech Republic busily worked on her knitting her fingers working almost like magic as they moved with great speed and grace never once missing a stitch with her scarf in process. Christmas would be coming soon and she still had a lot of work to get done...so in her free time she was busily knitting away, the other nations hopefully just thinking it was just another one of her silly little knitting sessions.
Though Czech was not a Christian ((An atheist actually)) She still acknowledged the fact that there really was a Jesus of Nazerath and that people celebrated his birth...and in her country though Christmas was not a normal holiday that was celebrated families would still give gifts to how much you cared. And for Czech every nation living in the confines of the homebase was now considered her extended family.
She was just about to finish Prussia's scarf when she looked up needing a break from seeing those colors when she saw Spain just across the room from her bunk. She smiled seeing her was reading still knitting read to be finished only to stop dead when a cold realization hit her...she didn't know Spain's flag...She thought it over and over and it would not appear in her long term memory much to her dismay for he was actually going to be next after France...She gave a determined look just as she made the finishing touches to the scarf. She would put a stop to that right away!
After finishing her scarf completely she skipped over to Spain seeing that he was busy reading a book though seemed to have a rather boring look in his eye making her crack a smile...she then turned her head upside down as well giving hwaas well giving a very sweet smile.
"Ahoj Spain! What are you doing?"

In the middle of a rather boring part about a bullfight (they were far more interesting than that) Anton was interrupted by a very welcome presence. "Ah, hola Czech~ Que tal?" He greeted in his native tongue, smiling despite the face he could feel the blood still rushing to his head. "Eh, nothing really. Just reading an old book I found." Slipping a folded piece of paper as a bookmark, he set the book onto the bunk, decoding for some reason to go back to it later. "Do you need something?"

Czech flashed him a very sweet smile. It seemed like Spain shone like sunshine with his smile and his usually upbeat and cheerful attitude. Though his obliviousness could be annoying she found a good balance on how to handle it in situation when it occured.
With a nod she began to answer his question.
"I was wonder...what is the color of your flag...?"
She was hoping she didn't sound too suspicious when she asked this...this was suppose to be a suprise and she would not allow anyone to have an inkling of what she was up to. NO ONE.

Spain blinked a few times thinking the pounding of the blood in his ears made him mishear her.
No, she definitly asked what color his flag was.
"Um... Rojo y amarillo -- Red and yellow. Though the yellow looks like gold sometimes. Por que?" At this point, he rolled off the bed and just kind of laid there for a minute before sitting up (and subsequently realizing that was a horrible idea and holding his head as the blood rushed back to the rest of his body). "I thought you knew the colors of my flag, Czech?"

Czech froze as a small panic overwhelmed her...she was going to get caught if she didn't think up something fast! Oh she hated being placed on the spot like this! It was stressful for her and she did not handle stress well...when stressed she sewed...EXCESSIVELY.
"Oh um...I was just reading a small section on flags in an old book and couldn't remember yours for the life of me!"
She giggled at herself like she had done something foolish as she had said congradulating herself on the quick save. Looks like lessons in manipulation and deception from France paid off!

Antonio just looked at her for a second and shrugged. "Well, alright then." He just took her reason as fact and didn't question her. After all, he was reading an old book - who's to say she wasn't as well. "By the way... What would you want as a Christmas dinner?" That was something he could have been doing, but forgot. Granted, he could have put it off until later, but he might as well get suggestions now so he could start planning.

A pause overcame Czech at Spain's change of subject not expecting to have another conversation to start but rather it ending with him returning to his book and Czech returning to her work...well she guessed that she had time to spare for a conversation or two.
Her eyes rolled to the cieling in thought...She then gave a tiny blush in what seemed like embarressment.
"Oh um...I don't celebrate Christmas Spain...I'm an atheist."
This was very true seeing how she had lost her faith God long ago.
"We do however have a winter celebration in my country!" She added with the brightest and most cheerful of smiles. "Every year my family and I gather...that including my little brother Slovakia...my sisters Moravia and Silesia...cousins Russia, Belarus and Ukraine...and a few other honorary family members!" She was of course talking about Germany, Prussia, Italy and Romano...seeing how it was still up for debate whether her father was Sir Holy Roman Empire or Lord Germania...so they were all invited though it was rare to see them all come.
"During that time I make a dish called Apple Strudle! It is my nation's speciality!" She said rather proudly.
