Now Czech was a very smart young lady for her age...however at times she proved to be a bit of a handful when it came to one of her schemes that she never seemed to think through. However this thing that she wanted had been nagging at her and now saw it as an oppernunity to obtain it.
First she thought it best to explain herself.
"Well you see America, in my nation there is this mineral that we call...potash. Its a very special kind of material that I use to make glass..."
When people came to Czech's nation the one thing that people seemed to admire and look at the most was the Bohemian Glass work. Czech's mother had taught the skill long ago and was the only one who could use that material as well as she did creating beautiful works of glass art.
"And while scouting I just happened upon some but unfortunantly could not take some with me at the time...since there wasn't any time to do so..."
A rather sheepish smile touched her now not really like to ask for help with anything, nor liking to impose on other people even if she was aloud to.
"You see um...the potash is out in...the plains and I don't really want to go by myself since well...my separate personality has...gone away. So could you maybe come with me to get it America? Please?"

The superpower listened closely to what she had to say, nodding every so often to prove that he understood. It seemed weird to him, going out to get glass, but it was her birthday. If she wanted to do it, then he would do it with her. Who was he to deny such a simple birthday wish? Hell, he would be the one to ask for the whole world, not just a simple mineral.
So, with an easy grin, he agreed. "What, did you think I was actually gonna say no?" He scoffed and straightened up. "Well, what are we waiting for? All we gotta do is grab some guns and shit. I think England's working, so I'll just leave a note to tell him where we went off to, in case he sees us missing and decides to bust a vein." Pointing out of the kitchen, he said, "We'll meet up in the lobby once we're all ready and everything, alright? So I'll be right with ya in a jiffy!"
With those words, he raced off to get what he needed to bring along to make sure that he and Czech were properly defended.

Czech was overjoyed to hear that he'd do it! She didn't want to admit it, but ever since she had gained some of her sanity back she was a bit skittish and a little nervous being out in the field...she couldn't remeber when she had to fight for herself...though that didn't really make any sense seeing how it was her who was fighting. But she knew that she had little to worry over...she knew she had the raw ability to handle almsot any foe and should stay possitive live she always did!
She had proceeded to grab her gun and sling it over her shoulder, then placed her knife in her boot and grabbed a small knap sack that she slung over shoulder as well and declared herself fit to leave.
She then made her way to the Lobby and stood there to wait very much excited like she was a child about to go to the store to buy a new toy.

America had quickly grabbed a gun and a knife and was waiting for Czech. He didn't figure they'd get in much of a fight, at least not a big one. This wasn't a mission, but he was planning on using as much stealth as possible. He'd save his energy for whenever he had a massive battle, not use it all up for something as miniscule as a few zombies. Still, he knew Czech's alter ego was gone, like she said, and there was no way he was going to leave that girl unprotected. He'd fight if he must, though he'd rather avoid any confrontation with the undead.
He quickly made his way down the ladders once more, hoping none of the other nations would ask where he was going (and they didn't). When he saw Czech, he grinned brightly, patting the gun hanging in it's holster. "Guess we're ready to go!" he exclaimed, punching in the numbers to open the big warehouse door.
The silence he faced whenever he stepped outside was quite daunting, so he hoped having Czech along (and her having him along) would ease the tension.

Before America could take another step she had placed a hand up in front of him to stop him in his tracks. Being a Scout it was her job to make sure everything was clear and safe.
She took this job seriously much like how a mother would guard her children's lives.
When she had finished her little survey she turned to America, the serious look that was on her face had turned back into her usual cheerful self.
"Everything seems fine...I can't hear anything remotely undead nor do I smell any rotted corpse. Though I did hear a Moose about 5 miles away."
She pondered the moose for a moment to herself like most children would when they get easily sidetracked. She snapped out of that thought almost instantly as she grabbed America by the arm and started to drag him along.
"Come on America! I know exactly where it is!"

America had been a bit startled when Czech suddenly stopped him, but then realized that she was just doing her duty as a scout. He found it a little bit unnecessary, since he could have checked for himself, but he didn't dwell on it once she began to drag him along. After all, better be safe than sorry.
He kept one hand close to his gun, keeping that in mind; better safe than sorry. He wasn't going to let both of them get jumped or something by a zombie because they weren't paying attention. "A bit slower," he warned, managing to pace his steps so that it didn't sound as loud. He wasn't sure how good of hearing the zombies had, but he wasn't willing to test it out.
He kept close beside Czech, glancing around every so often. "Remember, we forgot to grab any medical equipment - unless you got some - so if anything happens, we gotta retreat right back to the warehouse, got it?"

This was true...Czech did have a small bottle of disenfectant and some of her needles that she had burned in case she needed to use them to sew some stitches but other than that she didn't have anything that would help. She slowed her paces down more until she had become almost silent; a trick she had learned in her time in training for scouting.
She nodded in agreement.
"Yes we would not want a repeat of the last time we were out here together..."
It was then she gave a rather sheepish look blushing and looking remorseful seeing how the last time they were together out in the plains she attempted to kill him...not exactly the best experience two friends could have...

America glanced over at Czech and noticed the remorse written across her face. "Hey, don't worry about that," he assured, patting her shoulder comfortingly (or, in a manner that he hoped would appear comforting, at least). "We got that alter-ego of yours away, so everything will be fine." Just so long as no zombies appeared, anyway, everything would be fine.
He continued walking along the flat plains, feeling so vulnerable out in the open. Even the woods, which had plenty of places for sight to become obscured, was much more relaxing than out in the open. At least he could hide in the woods. Here, though, there was nowhere to hide and only one place to run.
"So?" he said, thankful they hadn't yet seen any zombies. "Can you find the potato, or whatever it's called, around this area?"

Czech looked into America's eyes and that alone was enough to assure her that everything was fine...and as for the alter ego she was very much thankful that she wasnt around to make life hell for her. Though it did make her more edgy seeing how the other Czech could come back at any given time if her mind faced some sort of trauma. She didmafter all amkema promise to America that if her 'host' was hurt in any way he'd be the first she' kill.
She shook her head of such dark and unwelcome thoughts to look to America's question. She allowed it to process before she started to giggle though kept them quiet knowing not to cause any attention to herself was a must when out in the open with possible Zombies lurking about.
"Potash."
She corrected gently. Her eyes now fell to the ground looking for the signs she had seen before and marked mentally in order to find the spot again. Finally she had, found it...strolling up to the exact spot where the mineral had obviously been hidden once more in the ground due to the winds no doubt. Setting her gun down she reached a knee and with her hands started to dig in the earth that proved to be softer than before.
"It's right here...I'm 99% sure of it."

Okay, so he pronounced it a little bit wrong (a lot bit wrong, really, but the details didn't matter all that much). Nodding, he muttered, "Potash, alright, got it." He felt a little bit silly, but did anyone really expect him to pronounce every single different word in every single different language? Not likely.
When Czech got down and started digging, America knelt right next to her, placing his gun beside him and joining her in the process of trying to find the potash. "I'll help with this," he said, grinning over at the girl. "How do I know what it looks like?" After all, he couldn't very well help her find the mineral if he didn't know what in the world he was looking for.
As he talked, he kept digging, gathering the dirt under his fingernails. He didn't care how messy his hands got, though. He could easily wash that off later when they arrived back at the warehouse. Keeping clean wasn't his top priority.
[[I'm sorry these are so short! I can't think. >.<]]

Czech looked over to America and while she gently pushed through the dirt and flashed him a grin back very much greatful for it. She then pondered how to describe it to him seeing how it resembled a few other stones. "Well its pink and rough around the edges and at times clumps together...the shade is almost like the color of...roses." She decided as she continued with her search. She found some gravel here and there and a fw pieces of quarts yet she could not seem to find the potash she wasnted so badly.
Sighing, she pushed her bangs from her eyes feeling a little dissapointed but knew she had to be possitive...if she did not have her possitvity than what did she have to console herself?
She picked up a little of the soil and placed it just below her nose as she enhailed in silence. Czech had under gone special training though her mother who taught her how to mine Potash...she had learned how to smell the earth and pick up certain clues.
She smelled it once more and a small hopeful smile touched her. She could smell the traces of the potash clear as day much to her delight. She made to place her hands in to try once more but suddenly froze as the hairs on her neck began to stand on end and a shiver ran down her spine much like a cold finger had ran down it. Something wasn't right...it was like someone was watching her...or something. Her hand reached down without her knowing it to her gun as she gripped it tightly in her hand her eyes looking to the left then to the right with great caution.

America paid close attention to her description of the mineral and began to dig at an even quicker pace, hopeful that they would find the potash before they had to return home. After all, if this was going to be Czech's only birthday present, he wanted to make sure she actually received it. "We should have brought a shovel or something," he said, lips turning up in a smirk. "It'll take longer doing it this way."
Of course, he didn't really care all that much how long it took. He was doing something good, something kind, and if he got to see his friend happy because of his actions, it was all worth it (well, her being happy no matter what the case was worth it, but that was a needless detail).
His eyes caught a flash of something pink-ish and he sighed happily, digging with renewed vigor. "I think I found some!" he announced proudly, glancing over at Czech. He had to do a double take, though, when he saw her looking tense. "Hey, is something wrong?" His voice dropped down to a whisper and he turned his eyes to the plains ahead of them, worry growing deep in his heart. Czech usually had good senses, so if she could sense something, there was something.

Czech's eyes searched the plains in silence knowing that something was wrong...the atmosphere itself told her that. Without saying a single word she stood up from the ground not even bothering to smooth out her skirt like she usual would. Her heart was racing which was a bad sign...usually she kept her cool and remained calm in situations like so...She also suppose that was because her alternate personality would come out to do the work for her.
She shook her head of such thoughts. She wanted the other Czech gone and that was exactly what she got. She could take care of herself thank you very much. But was that really true...was she really as good at defending herself as the other Czech?
Her thoughts had distracted her so much that when the Zombie appeared she was almost tempted to scream. Almost. She regained her focus and took the gun and shot it right in the head making it become a fine red mist as a small blood splatter touched her cheeks. She stared at it with wide eyes as it fell to the ground.
That was very close...she was too distracted to even notice the freaking Zombie that was about to eat her face off. A hand pressed to her heart while she stared at the corspe just at her feet. She needed to get a grip.
She looked up and flashed a weakened smile to him trying to put up a false bravado. Her smile turned to a frown when her ears perked up. "There are more coming."

America felt like he would have a heart attack when Czech shot that zombie. He jumped to his feet, ignoring the blood that had rained down on them both. He didn't have time to do much of anything before she announced that even more were coming. Heart still racing, he pulled his pistol out and cocked it, glancing around. "Aw, shit," he cursed, breathing harshly. So much for a nice birthday. Czech looked like she was about to drop down in a faint.
He figured just screwing it all and making a run for the warehouse so that he didn't have to fight (if she became hurt, he would be killed by her other self, he knew that much), but he made the mistake of glancing down and allowing his heart to become soft (as if it ever became hard). If they left now, Czech wouldn't get what she wanted for her birthday. This would be her only gift, and America wanted her to have it, so so much.
"Guess we'll fight it out, huh?" he said, grinning down at her. His head shot up when he heard the moans though, and he quickly counted the amount of zombies. "Eh, looks like there's twenty, more or less," he stated. "Think you can handle some of 'em? If not, I can easily finish them."
They were closing in, so he didn't have much time to hear her answer before he shot one down, thankful that it was far enough away so he didn't have to get sprayed by blood a second time around.

Czech felt herself swallow hard at the other Zombies not sure what to say...She had no idea why but she felt like a small little girl again who would cling to her mother's leg and hide when she needed protection. It was then she snapped out of her thoughts. Thats right...she was Bohemia's daughter...the warrior Queen who took down Germania on her own and could hold her own against the likes of Roman Empire...her mother was as fearless as they came, never backing down from a challenge...she was Bohemia's legacy and she was not about to shame her mother's good name with her cowardace.
Taking the gun she did likewise as America did, aimed, and shot another Zombie dead center as she gave a smile to America...one that showed great determination.
"I can't let you have all the fun can I?"
She turned her eyes back on the Zombies who were moving towards them some limping for loss of limbs while other were runing straight for them neverminding the fact that each time one did they were shot and killed once more. Thank God Zombies literally had no intellegence in their heads.
