(sorry I am lacking inspiration for titles...) " Ouch!" One of Czech Republic's very dainty fingers instinctually flew up to her mouth as she tenderly sucked on the small dotted mark that was bleeding. Her eyes fell onto the culprit, her sewing needle that she had been working with. She sighed pulling her finger from her lips feeling the stinging knowing that was would leave a little pinprick mark for a while that and the other three she had given to herself in that course of the afternoon. Czech shook her head wondering why she was so distracted today...usually you couldn't tear her away from her needle, knitting or on occasion, quilting work but today it was like her body was trying to tell her not to do it. At times like these it usually meant that something bad was going to happen...almost like an omen. Her eyes gazed up at the small glimpses of Canadian sun that the tree branches above her offered as it shined slightly warm rays over her sweet childlike face that showed she was rather troubled by this. She shifted her weighted on the branch she casually sat on in the dim forest then looked below. She knew that she shouldn't be out here on her own but found it was a quiet place where she wouldn't be bothered when she wanted to get something done. Besides with her up in this tree no Zombies could see her before she did nor could diseased animals that would at times happen by. She had come out here in hopes for completing a pillow case, today it was like her instincts wouldn't hear of it... Shaking her head she picked up her needle and thread and continued with her work with a very cheerful smile present on her face once more. " Silly me...I shouldn't worry so much!" She said out loud and went right back to her task of creating pretty purple blossoms for her garden scene like nothing happened trying to ignore her nagging anticipations for something bad happening.

The thundering of the helicopter blades faded into silence as Belarus watched the vehicle disappear into the distant sky. The men who had dropped her off were glad to be rid of her, she was sure, just as she was glad to be away from them; she had always been uncomfortable spending time in close quarters with those short-lived, mostly inconsequential humans she would likely never see again. Their faces had all started to blend together over the years... She had already forgotten what the men in the helicopter looked like.
Well, she wished they had at least given her directions to the warehouse before they'd left her out here. Life out here in this zombie-infested wasteland would probably be unpleasant enough without getting eaten alive wandering around trying to find the place.
No matter. There was no sense in sitting here and waiting for the beasts to come investigating the noise, so she gathered up her things, checked that her weapons were easily accessible, and started out towards the forest. Sure, there could be something nasty hiding in the trees, but at least she would have a bit of cover while she worked on figuring out where to go next. A better idea than dawdling in the middle of the plains like a sitting duck, anyway.

"Hmm maybe some pink would look good..."
As Czech reached into the sewing bag that dangled on a nearby branch to fish for a spool of pink thread only to find herself pausing as her ears caught wind of the far off sound of a footsteps which made her her neck hairs stand on end.
"Zombie."
That was what she thought up instantly as she quickly stuffed her pillowcase as neatly as possible then proceeded to prepare her gun. It was old and rusty but was very much reliable when it came to shooting Zombies within the safety of the trees. When it was loaded she cocked it, turned off the safety and sat there her eyes scanning the forest floor looking for the possible foe that would stumble into her line of fire.
Something still didn't settle with Czech which could be expected from her. Usually at times like these her split personality would take over her body to deal with the danger. But since America had helped to get rid of it she had been very edgy with doing this non her own. Also this tingle down her spine felt...familiar for some reason a little too familiar for her taste.

It was eerily quiet among the trees, no noises of wildlife winding along familiar paths or foraging for food, only a slight breeze whistling through the branches. Belarus slowly made her way along the edge of the forest, keeping an eye out for any hints towards the settlement the other nations had set up - so far, she saw nothing.
She heard something, though, up in the trees. Shit. No one had told her that zombies had learned to climb. She froze, so as not to make any more noise, worked one of her long knives out of her pack, and started planning out the quietest route to investigate that particular cluster of trees, dread pooling in her stomach.
She shifted her weight to move - a branch snapped under her feet - and she quickly took a couple of quiet steps towards whatever was up in the trees.

Czech's sharp ears continued to listen then put her nose to the air as she tried to see if she could smell the possible scent of rotted corpse would would more than likey indicated a Zombie was near. The wind was not on her side so it seemed for it blocked her scent completely unable to small anything except for the pine needles that belonged to the tree she sat in. She heard a 'snap' that made her eyes widen as her eyes scanned for whatever it came from and found that she could not find it anywhere. Unaware that this had happened directly behind her.
The fear was starting to get to her. Had she been calm like usual she would have known that the sound came from behind her and then would of found that fellow female slavic nation approaching the tree with a knife in hand.
But no she was very much paranoid and very much nervous as she searched aimlessly for any signs of life. Swallowing hard she opened her mouth to call out.
"H--hello? Is anyone out there?"
This would have been considered ver stupid...something right out of cheap horror movie. Yet she didn't even know that she had done it for fear could make even the smartest of people and nations act stupid.

Belarus slowed her approach towards whatever (whoever?) was up in the tree, stopping when she heard the voice call out.
Oh good, it wasn't a zombie. Well, at least Belarus hoped that zombies hadn't developed speech capabilities yet. But what was someone doing out here, alone? Belarus had been under the impression that she was getting dumped into a zombie-infested wasteland; while she hadn't seen anything too dangerous thus far, it seemed reckless to be out alone.
"Who's there?" she hissed back, lowering her knife a little. She was still suspicious, but it would probably be frowned upon if she attacked or harmed a fellow nation.

Czech felt goosbumps crawl up her neck as the voice hissed its way into her ears from below. Her eyes had widened in shock as she allowed it to process as she lowered the gun very slowly. Swallowing hard her hand reached up instinctually to a scar that was present on her shoulder that had been given to her curtesy of the woman that voice belonged to. However none of that mattered at the moment.
Her head whirled around anddown the tree half of her hoping against hope that she would be there while the other hoping it wasn't at the same time. Blue green orbs took in the woman's appearance...blond hair, purple dress, a prettyetite face and blue eyes that could cut you very much like the knife in her hand.
"Cousin Belarus!"
A broad grin touched her lips as she jumped down from the branch landing on her feet semi-gracefully. She stood up not even bothering to pat the dirt off her red shirt to run towards the woman before her and wrapped her arms around her neck in a tight, loving hug.
"Oh Belarus...You're alright! I was afraid that--that..." She didn't even want to think about what she thought could of happened to Belarus...though they might of had...differences and Czech could admit that she terrified her...she was still family and thus deserved such a welcome from Czech.

"Cousin Belarus!"
Ohhhhh damn. Now Belarus recognized the voice, and an anticipatory grimace worked its way across her face. She had a pretty good idea of what was coming next - and, sure enough, Czech bounded down from the tree and wrapped her up in a hug. Belarus froze for a moment, unsure of what to do, then slowly straightened up and made sure that the tip of her knife was directed away from the other nation. It would hardly do to accidentally stab her dear cousin upon arrival.
"Yes, yes, I'm fine," Belarus said shortly. She was preoccupied with trying to decide whether she should try to get the knife back into its holster, drop it, or continue to awkwardly hold it out to the side. "I see you're doing alright," Belarus tried to squirm her way out of the hug. "And what of the others? Any news?"
The reports from the warehouse hadn't been nearly as frequent as Belarus had wanted, and she had been worrying, in her own way. Even though she'd had her plate full of problems back in Europe, she'd still found the energy to brood and fret over her... well, she couldn't call them friends, exactly, but she still worried about those who had dared to come out to this... wasteland. Even Czech; although their relationship had been rocky (to say the least), Belarus wouldn't have known what to do if something happened to her.
Not that Belarus would ever let on to that.
So, so sorry this took forever -_-; Midterms. I'll be done middle of next week...

Giving her one final tight squeeze, Czech pulled back grinning from ear to ear looking so overly happy to see the frowning face despite the fact that she still had a knife in her hand. Taking a step back and taking a deep breath to calm herself down she now prepared herself to answer Belarus' questions.
"Everyone is perfectly fine! Well save for a few incidences here and there but everyone is still very much alive and kicking!" A blush touched her face thinking how she had, had plenty of those 'incidences" one happening to pertain to falling through thin ice and another almost shooting a fellow nation. After shaking her head of such thoughts she turned back to Belarus to grin.
"Oh it's so wonderful you've arrived Belarus! Now I have my two brothers and two of my three cousins!" she said while funking her arms around her once more to give her a quick squeeze. Being as old as she really couldn't help getting excited over family seeing how they were her life.
"Wait until Russia finds out you're here! I have no doubt that he will be so pleased to see you in good health!"
