BASIC INFO
Name: Romania [Traian Ionescu]
Gender: Male
Appearance: Canon appearance is basically unaltered – Blond/brown hair and brown eyes and the coat he usually wears, as it isn’t horrible inefficient for zombie fighting.
Personality: A friendly, cheerful person with a mischievous side. He can be lackadaisical and eccentric; and loves black magic and fairy tales. He can be socially stunted sometimes when he tells disturbing stories and doesn’t notice that people are, well, disturbed by them. He’s generally nice to most everybody, and specializes in good luck charms. He can be a charmer if he wants to, and easily hits it off with people who he's only talked to a couple of times.
He doesn't really like being bossed around, but will at the very least listen to requests and pay attention when it's important. Romania enjoys fiddling with charms and the like and it isnt uncommon to find unfinished things laying around. He doesnt like cleaning up his personal spaces and tends to leave things as is until it gets completely unbearable.
He like to cook, but itsn't very good. (Not as bad as some people, but stuff sometimes comes out tasting a bit funny about half of the time. Probably due to a lack of attention paid to the preparation).
His 'dark side' is heavily influenced by Black Magic type stuff. Undead things. All that pleasant stuff that everybody loves to see around the house on a daily basis. His magic gets stronger when he's pissed off.
Sometimes people say he's a vampire because it looks like he has sharper canines than most. Really, Hungary punched him in the face ones and broke his tooth. He likes to tell people (Like Sealand) that he is an actually real vampire.
He's very superstitious of both the classics (black cats, walking under ladders) and the lesser knowns involving hard boiled eggs. Despite the fact that he does enjoy meddling with black magic, that doesn't mean that it isn't freaky. Dark magic likes creepy things. Like fingernails.
Romania has a reoccurring habit of hearing things that aren't actually there.
He loves telling stories to people even if they outwardly seem entirely disinterested in whatever he's talking about. He'll usually just push through and finish the epic monologue with sleeping audience. He doenst like the sound of his own voice, just likes sharing things with others.
Relations with other chars:
Bulgaria – Friends with and they hang out a lot. (Even if Romania's stories some times creep the hell out of Bulgaria)
England – Share some interests ;D (Magic)
Hungary – Like cats’n’dogs. They've never gotten along, per say, but they've also never really erupted in full scale battle.
Moldova – Romania is Moldova’s (elder) brother
Russia - Generally friendly with Russia. (Ex, not as creeped out by him if something weird happens)
Japan - They've spoken in the past, but aren't all buddy-buddy.
Special abilities: Can do some charms/cursing stuff, but nothing Harry Potter level type stuff. (More like ‘combine these herbs’ and not like YELL LOUDLY AND POINT STICKS)
AU-RELATED
Short range weapon of choice: A long knife-ish type weapon called a Falx with a curved end.
Long range weapon of choice: Some sort of automatic sniper-y gun for sniper position, crossbow thingamajig for battlefield fighting.
Duty position of your choice: Sniper? There seems to be a lot of front liners, soooo.
Bunk of choice: Top?
OBLIGATORY FILLING
Sample RP test: ;n; apologies.
“Do enlighten me as to why we’re here, again?”
Sisu rolled his eyes heavenwards, the crinkled map in his hands rustling in the silence. It was cold out, and it had been barely an hour and he already wanted to strangle something.
“There’ve been reports of a Liche type creature spotted around these parts,” Sisu replied after some deliberation.
Hakon tilted his head to one side, observing the rolling hills and, almost directly in front of them a little ways down the flattened-grass path, a large castle. The castle itself was suspiciously reminiscent of bad horror movies; the only thing lacking was the mysterious light in one window.
“What exactly is a Liche?” Hakon asked, zipping up his dark greenish coat as he did so in hopes of warding off the dusk air.
Sisu restrained the urge to roll up the map and beat him upside the head with it.
“Have you ever seen The Black Cauldron?”
Hakon brightened up slightly, then realization dawned, “oh.”
“Yea,” Sisu nodded while folding the map up and shoving it into his coat pocket, “anyways, off we go.”
Hakon followed after Sisu, playing with a stray cattail he’d pulled up out of the ground.
Avoiding a stray muddle puddle, Sisu eyed the castle. He understood why this was one of the less popular attractions, even in the middle of summer. It was a run-down old castle, covered in moss and tree roots with stability-questioning consequences. It was built in the classic Anglo-Saxon style of that era, and the scattered remains of some outer buildings could still be seen. A large, out of place pink laminated sign stated:
DO NOT ENTER! DANGER!
(yeah idk this is from a story from ages ago)
