"Dodging?" Norway asked a little curiously. He was fairly good at that, exept when it came to his blind spot, that's when thiings got tricky for him. He thought for a while and finally nodded in saying yes. He hadent practiced that in a while so what was the harm really? Practice would be good for everyone. He looked at the American and positioned himself in a fighting stance and said, "Im ready I guess,"

America nodded, quickly devising the best method of attack. Really, all he needed to do was get Norway to dodge. He needn't come up with some elaborate plan. No point in it, really. Running forward and reeling back for a punch was probably his best option at this point. Besides, if his moves were too complicated, it wouldn't get him anywhere. Complicated meant more work and more work meant less time to attack and defend.
He ran forward, quickly bringing his fist back and ready to punch Norway, though he was certain to keep his strength in check this time. He didn't even want to leave Norway with bruises, for god's sakes- who knew how the older country would pay him back later?

Norway saw the punch coming quickly. He gulped and waited for America to get close enough so he could get a good shot on how to dodge. How should he do it though? Should he try and go left to his weaker side so he could get the practice? Or go right to his stronger one and waste some of this practice for nothing but show the younger country he knew what he was doing? Norway kept thinking on this until America's fist was only inches from his face. He quickly went to his left and staggered to get back into his fighting stance once again.

America saw just how close he was to actually punching Norway and he had to stop to give a sigh of relief when Norway was safely away. He hadn't thought the other would be that indecisive over which direction to take, but at least he wasn't hurt. "You dodged it," America stated, straightening up. "But just barely. You can't do that when you're out on the battlefield. The more you just barely get hit, the more vicious your enemy will become."
He brushed some bangs out of his eyes, then ran forward again, aiming this time for Norway's stomach. It would do him some good to switch it up some. He figured this would give Norway the chance to practice different dodging techniques.

Norway nodded at America who said some pretty useful advice. Then he saw that the younger nation was going to aim for his stomach. Norway stayed focused on the fist that was flying towards him and ducked under the fist without thinking. It would have been a good move if he was actually in a battle, but since this was practice not so much, because the American kept running and accidently ran over Norway. The older nation fell foward and he stayed there on the floor for a while. "Sorry...that was a bad dodge." he finally said.

America stopped himself just in time from running over Norway. He never expected dodging to be this hazardous for the other nation. Not really wanting to hurt his feelings all that much, America shrugged. "Well...it could have been better." He reached his hand down to help Norway up, remembering to smile. It really wasn't as if he was doing completely awful. He knew Norway could dodge. He experienced Norway's dodges when they were sword-fighting.
"Try and think of my fists as swords," he suddenly said, hoping this might motivate the Nordic some more. "Just less pointy. I mean...just dodge it like you did before. That might help you some."

Think of the fists as swords? Norway thought about this as he took America's hand and got off the ground. He rubbed his hurting nose for a little while and sighed. He was ready for it this time. He just had to keep that moto inside his brain for a while. 'Fists are swords...fists are swords...fists are swords' he kept repeating in his brain as he looked at the ground. Finally he felt like he was ready to go up against the taller younger nation. "Ok, I think I have it this time." The Nordic nation said getting into his fighting position.

Once Norway gave the go-ahead, America readied himself, quite certain Norway would do a perfect dodge this time around. The elder nation had a new look of determination in his face. He seemed like he got it. "Alright," was the only warning America gave before he ran forward once more, choosing to aim for the head once more. Still, he kept his strength to a minimum, just in case Norway was, for some reason, unable to maneuver out of the way in time. He didn't want a repeat of the poor nation flying into another wall.

Norway calmed himself down. His body went limp and he waited, finally he opened his eyes and moved quickly out of the way of the American's flying fist. Norway smiled on the inside at what he did, the American's advice actually worked! 'Think of it like a sword' That phrase was going to be in the elder nations head for quite a while. Heck, it would be in his head forever! Norway felt proud of himself, so proud that he decided to show a little happiness. He grinned wide and punched the air. "Yes!" he quietly whispered.

America stumbled forward a little bit, trying to stop so he could face Norway. He did so with a smile, though, hearing that small whisper of victory that the other nation had given. He was really enjoying this. He never thought he could be a good teacher, especially to such an older country, especially to a country that had a lot more fighting experience than he did. But, here he was, helping Norway with his dodging skills and it really seemed to be working out perfectly fine.
"That was awesome!" he exclaimed, happy for Norway. "Now, of course, if I were your enemy, I wouldn't stop to congratulate you or anything, but...I really think you do got this." He allowed himself a grin, pleased with both Norway's triumph and his own small success in managing to teach him something.

Norway nodded a bit and said, "I think I have it." He felt really happy at this moment. He couldnt stop smiling. But eventually he got a little emberresed and covered his face so he could go back to normal. After a few minuets he finally calmed down and lifted his head. "Sorry, I got carried away." The older Norwegien country said finally back to his old 'un emotional' self. "I do not think that I need help with anything else though." he said again to the American.

Seeing that smile on Norway's face, America had simply smirked and left him alone, refusing to make any teasing remarks about it. Norway did deserve these few moments of happiness- he was pretty good at fighting. And, if they decided to use swords to fight, America already knew that Norway would be quite phenomenal. Hopefully America would actually be able to live up to Norway's expectations. He really didn't want the two of them to lose.
"So, you think we're done?" he asked once Norway's smile disappeared. He was pretty sure they were, what with the confidence both of them now had in their fighting skills, but it was always polite courtesy to ask rather than to just assume.

"I think so." Norway replied quickly. He was confident in his fighting skills now. He was positive they were going to win now. The older nation thought for a second and then added in, "Unless you need more help with anything." He was pretty sure that America didnt need to work on anything, but it didnt hurt him to ask and be polite about it.

"I'm pretty sure that I got this all down," America confidently replied, giving his usual smirk. Of course he had this whole thing down- he was America. And everyone knew that when it came to fighting, America excelled. He was, like, the nerd of fighting. If this was high school and if fighting could be considered nerdy.
He liked to consider it manly, though.
"So, I guess we're done here?" he asked, placing his hands behind his back.

Norway nodded, "Yes I guess we are." He finally said. The older Nordic nation was sure he was going to do pretty well during the tornement. Which reminded him..."When is this 'tornement' thing going on anyways? Im pretty curious to know." He asked the American nation curiously. He knew he was going to participate in it, but he was never told when it was going to happen exactly. And since it was America who was the one to ask if they could train, Norway was pretty sure he knew when.
