Chuckling along with him, Canada waved his hand airily and said, "Don't worry about it. Almost everyone knows it's true!"
"Yes, like that. It should be more stable now, and I think you can aim better...not that, not that your aim is terribly off or anything like that, no." He hastily added. Giving advice like this, to a much older nation no less, was already stepping over his comfort-zone. "We all have strengths and weaknesses, right? It's ok that you don't think you're a gun type person. I'm sure you're much better at some things I fail terribly at, although that's not much to speak of I'm afraid, since I fail at so many things."

"Hahah, I'm sure." Lithuania's smile returned, glad he hadn't offended the North American nation.
"Aciu, I mean, thank you." He wasn't that embarrased about the other giving him help...he knew he needed it. "I'm not sure. Although...not to boast but I could probably beat you in a sword fight, however that it probably due to the fact that when I started defending myself guns hadn't been invented...it was hand-to-hand or nothing." Lithuania mused, realising that Canada would have been brought up with guns already in the world. Strange to think that he was so much older than the other.
He squinted and took shot, still missing the target, but making it a lot closer.

"Yeah, that's very likely true. I have a dagger-knife-thing for close combat here...but I highly doubt that I could even use it properly. I'd cut myself on the first try, I reckon." Canada smiled and sighed at himself. He really had to feel sad for the knife in question: it was a very nice little blade, but in the hands of an incompetent like him, it would be embarrassed, if it were alive.
Then, an idea hit him. Why don't they help each other? Sure, Canada probably wasn't the best shot in the world, but he did know a thing or two. And it was 100% sure that Lithuania could handle a sharp edge much better than he could, by a long shot. "Hey, Lithuania. Why don't we help each other out here? I'll, uh, give advice on guns, and you can help me with my dagger! If, if you want, that is, it's just an idea." Self-consciously tacked on, that last part.

"Oh I'm sure you wouldn't!!" Lithuania smiled at the other, noting his slight blush. "You should have seen me the first time I picked up a gun at....at Russia's house..." he frowned. Dievas he hated that man.
"That sounds like a great idea! We could go along to the other training ground in a minute, uh...if you're ok with that..."

Slight concern came upon Canada's face at another mention of Russia. Wow, those times with Russia must've been pretty traumatizing for him, with the way his face goes whenever he mentions his name. It seemed that some memories could never be forgotten no matter what...
"O-Oh, ok, sure! I don't mind at all, really! We could always come back here after all. I actually brought the dagger with me...I don't know why though, 'cause 'just in case' sounds real iffy when I don't even know how to use it." He chuckled weakly and hesitantly smiled. If Lithuania was willing to help someone like him, he would try his best to help the other get over his past as best as he could, seeing as whatever help with guns he would be able to give would be, in his eyes, pretty mediocre.

Lithuania sighed and took a deep breath, pushing unwanted images out of his head.
"Yeah! Of course!" Then he laughed. "Don't worry, I carry my sword with me, never know when you might need it after all!" he patted the familiar object that rested next to his leg.
((D'you wanna create a new topic for our sword stuff? Or just continue here or something? ^^))

Well, it looked like Canada was going to get some impromptu close-combat lessons today. Good lord he hoped he didn't end up making a fool of himself.
"Then, shall we go?" He hefted his rifle up and clicked the safety, then felt the right side of his hip where his knife hung. Yep, there it was, sheathed snugly...No excuse to get out of this now.
[[Sure, if you'll do the honors this time~ : D ]]

"Yep." Lithuania shoved his gun back into it's holster with a last almost-glare at the target and spun round to walk towards the other centre.
((Course ^^))
