Sealand wandered aimlessly around the Commons, making listless circles around the couch. He was bored. REALLY bored.
Who knew that when Finland and Sweden left, they would take all the fun with them?
The small boy pouted, his lower lip jutting out and his brow creasing. He stopped circling and flopped on the couch unceremoniously.
No one else was in the Commons, so there was no one else to play with. 'Your babysitter will be coming later, Sea,' Finland had said, while closing the door to the warehouse.
Sealand was left standing in the doorway, with nothing to do and no one to do it with. Great.

I walked into the common area with my dear friend, kumojiro (that was his name right?). I didn't have any missions to go on, and no chores to do. "I might as well see where I will be living for the next, well for a long time." I had said to myself one day. Since I didn't have any friends to talk to yet, and I was invisible to most of the nations some of the time, the only thing I could do was wander around.
"I wish my brother wasn't so important" I sighed "What am I supposed to do with all this free time?" Suddenly I stopped, there was a little boy sitting on the couch. I wondered who he was for a moment, how could I of all people forget who he was? Then it hit me, this little boy must be Sealand. Yes I remember now, I had met him once when he had tried to get into one of the G8 meetings. He had tried to dress up as me if my memory was correct. I wasn't mad in the slightest, I thought it was rather brave of him. I wish I could be that brave.

((I'm not sure if your supposed to write in first person...))
Fiddling with the seam of the couch cushion Sealand sighed dramatically and stuck out his lip some more. Suddenly, he heard something move behind him. He froze, and then turned his head around, cracking his neck in the process.
Standing near the entrance was a timid looking nation holding a large stuffed bear. "Canadia?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. "Are you really there?" Wait a second... Sealand thought. Is he my babysitter?! I don't need a babysitter! I'm a big nation, I can get along on my own just fine!
Suddenly, devious prank ideas sprang into his mind, blossoming into elaborate plans. He gripped the back of the couch and stared at the other nation.
"So...what're youuuu doing here?"

((sorry about that, force of habit))
Suddenly Sealand looked behind him and asked "so...what're youuuu doing here?" Startled by his sudden movement Canada froze for a moment before fully understanding that Sealand meant him no harm (I hope!). It was just a simple question, just answer it before he ignores you again.
Staring down at his boots, Canada whispered "Sorry, I didn't know you were here" He looked up with a surge a courage and continued "I-I was just looking around, I can leave if you want" Canada quickly looked back down again. Why did this little nation scare him so much? He truly did want to be his friend but, where to begin? Canada didn't know the first thing about making friends. Maybe he should start with introductions?
Canada asked "Your Sealand correct?"

((The old man manga-loving Japan has come...though I don't think he's your babysitter (unless suddenly, he's appointed to be XD). He'll talk to you soon, Sea-kun~! And Canada...secretly you are adored in my head <3))
Japan sighed, coming from the lab area and rubbing his eyes. With the disappearance of Finland, and the rare appearance of Wales, the bulk of the lab work had been thrust on his shoulders. And though he never minded working hard, he occasionally worked TOO hard, pulling all-nighters and falling asleep on his notes. Half of it was his worth ethic, though a certain Russian bunkmate certainly played a role to his habit of steering clear of his bunk. He intended to go to the kitchen, where he hoped a cup of tea rather than sleep would perk him up enough to finish his latest theory.
So it came as no surprise that he practically walked into another nation, though in his defense he hadn't seen him there. "Ah, please forgive me..." His voice sounded weary, and he avoided admitting to his lack of perception by stepping back and bowing slightly. He spotted Sealand but did not speak to him just yet, glad for once for the lack of Switzerland's influence. If the blond had seen him even glancing in Sealand's direction, he would have probably fired a warning shot. And warning shots were anything from verbal assaults to literal bullets, something Japan was having a little trouble wrapping his sleep-deprived mind around at the moment.
'What is America-kun doing out here? I thought he was with England-san in the hospital. No...this is not America. He is different somehow...yes, he is. If he was America-kun, I would not have run into him, because I would have heard him from the lab. However, he looks very similar...ah!'
After far longer than it should have, Japan addressed the nation he now recognized. "Canada-san, please forgive me. I have been rather absorbed in my lab work, but that does not excuse my impoliteness just now."

Suddenly, a figure bumbed into the already nervous Canada, which made him stumbled a little. Quickly he turned around to find Japan slightly bowed down to him and apologizing. Canada felt very bad about getting into somebody's way, even when he tried very hard to not be such a burden. He felt even worse when he noticed how tired Japan had sounded.
"T-That's ok Japan, I mean I shouldn't have been standing in the doorway, and you look so tired..." Feeling as though he was saying to much, Canada stopped mid-sentence. He should let Japan get some sleep. From the time that Canada had arrived he had seen many people working hard, but none so much as Japan had. Besides, he was always so nice to everyone, not to mention so polite. Of course he was being compared to America and France, so basically anyone would look polite. Although he had met many other polite nations, even if he didn't know them too well. England for one, was always a gentlemen, but Japan had seemed to one-up him in a way.
Not wanting to keep Japan waiting any longer, and trying to be as polite as Japan, Canada put in "So are you going off to bed now?" Of course Canada knew that one sentence couldn't repay the kindness Japan had shown him. He had even remembered his name!

Sealand stared as Canada and Japan briefly conversed. His chin and his hands were resting on the back of the couch, squeezing the plush fabric. I guess Japans here too, Bright blue eyes narrowed. Who did Finny get to be my babysitter?
Sealand twisted around and rolled off the couch. He stepped up to Canada and Japan, and tugged on Japan's sleeve.
"Heeeeeey. I'm bored. You guys want to play with me?"

After Canada had briefly conversed with Japan, the ever impatient Sealand came up, tugged on Japan's sleeve and asked us to play a game. Canada didn't want to disappoint Sealand, but was still a little wary of his presense. Although he couldn't really hurt Canada, and why would he?
After debating with himself, Canada finally whispered "Ok" to Sealand. He wondered what game they would be playing. Canada knew how to play a lot of games, mostly because America had shown him a lot, and he rather enjoyed playing along with his brother. It made him feel like a kid again remembering those days. When they had gotten older, America had shown Canada the wonder that was the world of video games and made Canada play with him. It's not like he minded to be dragged into the living room, sat down, and given controller two. As long as his brother was happy, so was Canada. He actually secretly enjoyed playing with his brother, even though he always lost or got second place to his brother.
Excited to know what game they would be playing, and wondering if Japan would join, Canada looked over at Japan and patiently waited for his answer.

Japan managed a tired smile, truly appreciative of Canada's concern for his well being. He was tired, but he had suffered more fatigue in wartime. It was more important for him to try to perfect the vaccine they had just created and to do as much research as he could in order to be prepared for the next mission. "Please do not worry, Canada-san. It is my own fault for not being more aware. I truly appreciate your concern. I did not realize how long I had been in the lab. I suppose it is easy to lose track of time when one is doing research." He stood straight, resisting the urge to yawn or to show his fatigue in any other way. There was no sense in him being more impolite to Canada.
A slight tugging on his sleeve reminded him that Sealand was still in the room...and that he had yet to acknowledge him. He turned his attention to the young boy, and gave him a smile he hoped would not betray his tiredness. Perhaps Sealand was too young to know what countless sleepless nights looked like on a nation persona, or more specifically, how they looked on Japan. He feigned pushing a bit of his hair from his face with his free hand, stealthily rubbing his eyes and blinking behind the temporary shield to reduce redness. He might not fool Canada, but perhaps Sealand would fail to notice.
The young boy tugged on his sleeve some more, begging him to join in some game or another. Japan briefly wondered what game they would be playing, or if it might even be some sort of trick to force him to recognize the young boy as a nation. Or, and this was more likely, it would be a game involving running around, which would prove to Sealand just how old Japan actually was in both mind and body. His back ached at the thought of such a game, but once Canada agreed to join his game Japan felt as though he ought to accept as well. After all, he wasn't THAT eager to get back to his bunk.
"I would be happy to join the both of you, if you do not mind me. Unfortunately, I am not quite as energetic as many of the nations here. I apologize if I am not very good at the game that is chosen." Of course, he had no IDEA what the game was just yet, but it never hurt to be polite and remind the other two that he wasn't at his best right now (though he could certainly play a game).

Sealand looked up at Japan, narrowing his eyes. Something was weird about him. He seemed really serious. Shrugging it off, the blonde addressed the two nations.
"I decided what game we're gonna play!" He said, grinning widely, trying to conceal his mischievous expression underneath. "We're gonna play...hide and seek! Japan, you count, and Canadia, come with me!" He grabbed Canada's sleeve, yanking him out of the room without giving either of the nations any time to think.
"Come'on! I know the perfect place..."

Canada was pulled away by Sealand, barely able to keep ahold of poor kumujira. It seems they would be playing hide and seek. Thats good, Canada knew the rules of this game very well. Of course Canada was rather new here, so he had no idea where to hide. Luckily, Sealand seemed to know where he was going, so Canada didn't struggle and went along with Sealand's plan.
They left the common room and comtinued down a white hallway. Canada didn't know where he was at all, so he hoped that Sealand wouldn't get them lost. It scared Canada a little that he was putting all of his trust onto the little nation. What if they ran into a horde of zombies? Would they be able to fend them off by theirselves?

Canada was getting nervous, it seemed. Sealand giggled inwardly. This could be fun! His grip tightened around Canada's sleeve, pulling the nation off towards the labs.
The small nation giggled. Japan was gonna get sooooo mad when he finds them there!

Sealand dragged Canada off to a very unfarmiliar room. True, they were all unfarmiliar to Canada, but this room especially. It looked like a scientist's lab, with test tubes and wierd machines all over the place. "Are you sure we are supposed to be in here?" Canada said to Sealand. This looked like an important room, and he didn't want to mess anything up.

Japan sighed and nodded in agreement to Sealand's proposed game, hiding his apprehension behind his hands so that he could begin to count. Though it had been ages (more like a century, but who was counting) since he had last played the game, he still knew the rules as well as he knew his own name. Besides, Sealand had already dragged Canada off to hide, so that even if he had wanted to protest the turn order (even though eldest had always been 'it' first whenever he had played) or to designate a 'base' he could not do so without stopping the game. He continued to count, though he could hear no one in the Common Room area anymore.
'Honestly...what is the point of counting if they can no longer hear me? Though I am supposed to technically not know where they are, it is fairly obvious to me that neither of them are in the Common Room or in the bunk area. They could be hiding in the kitchen, but I'd probably hear them there too. That leaves the hospital, quarantine area, the labs, the rooftop, the scouting tower, and...hopefully not...outside. Surely Canada-san would stop Sealand if he wanted to venture outside, so it would be best to begin my search in here.'
He sincerely hoped that Sealand had not run off to hide in one of the more dangerous areas...like the hospital or the lab, but Japan reasoned that Canada would gently encourage him to hide elsewhere. He could only hope that if, by some miracle, Canada had failed to convince Sealand to hide in a safer place that they would at least stay together. But if they stayed together and he happened to find them, wouldn't that make both of them 'it'? And his odds of hiding from both of them were slim at best, ninja rumors notwithstanding.
Once the required number of seconds had ticked by (and then some), Japan uncovered his face and looked around. Since no noises caught his attention, he decided not to shout the typical battle cry of the 'it' person. Obviously if they were long gone from the Common Room, they were very 'ready', and since he was 'it' they knew he would be coming for them. He made his way to the kitchen, though his hopes were not high. The empty room greeted him, confirming his suspicions. Pausing in the doorway for a moment, he quickly planned out his searching strategy.
Turning, he made his way to the hospital, deciding to eliminate the more dangerous places first before checking the more relatively safe ones more thoroughly.

(( Here comes your late babysitter!!!))
Seychelles walked into the common room, sighing. She was told to take care of some boy nation. Finland never descibed the boy well and only said that he looks like a younger version of England. She sigh. Thanks a lot Finland. What a good decription of him. As soon as she reached the Common room she sat down and waited. He was suppose to be here by now.
Seychelles pulled out a packet of fish crackers and munch on them. Babysitting could not be hard right? France always looks calm when he babysitted her when she was young, so it was always easy right? Seychelles started to munch on her snack faster and faster, until the whole packet was empty.
Right at the moment, she saw Japan walking around. He seem to be searching for someone. Maybe he knows who the boy would be. She stood up and approached Japan. "Hi Japan," Seychelles smiled, "I am suppose to babysit some boy that looks like England, do you know who he might be?"
