Sealand was in his element. Eyes shining, still latched on to Canada's thick sleeve, he poked around the lab, running here and there, trying to find the perfect hiding place for them both.
Finally, he ran to the corner of the room and forced open a large, ominous looking cabinet. He reached in and dug all of the contents out, throwing, random papers and broken test tubes all over the place. Once he cleared the space, he turned and shoved the taller nation behind him into the dank space.
His heart thumping erratically in his chest, he followed Canada and dove into the cabinet, quickly closing the door but leaving a space to peek out. He sniggered.
"Japan's gonna have a hard time finding us now!" He whispered loudly, even though their hiding place was hardly obscure at all.

Canada was dragged all over the room until Sealand decided to hide in a rather large cabinet. He threw eveything inside onto the floor, making quite a mess. Japan would have no trouble finding them now with all that garbage just outside the cabinet. "Don't you think we should clean this up first?" suggested Canada. He didn't want Japan to hurt himself if he decided to look over here. He would get a nasty cut if he stepped on one of the broken test tubes.
Before he got an answer, Canada was shoved into the dark cabinet. Sealand said that Japan would have a hard time finding them, but Canada disagreed. Japan would easily spot the mess on the floor and find them. However Canada wasn't worried about the outcome of the game right now. He tugged on Sealand's shoulder and whispered "Please Sealand, we have to clean the mess outside first, someone could get hurt."

Sealand turned around to face Canada in the dark space. His lower lip stuck out, pouting.
"Hmph. Canadia, your such a party pooper. if we go out now, Japan'll see us!" He stared at Canada in the darkness, trying to decipher his expression in the little light. He could tell Canada was serious, and he wasn't going to be quiet about this. Sealand sighed dramatically, and shoved the cabinet door open.
The small nation haphazardly stuck his arm out, reaching out to push everything from the cabinet to the side. He leaned out of the small space, over Canada, sweeping everything into the corner. Maybe that would be good enough.
Suddenly, The small nation felt a sharp pain in his finger. he lifted his hand up to his face, staring at the small drop of blood that was forming at the tip of his finger. He must have cut himself on one of the broken glass pieces. It wasn't serious, but enough to make Sealand panic.
"Canadia! My fingermyfingermyfingerisbleedinghelphelpCanadiadosomethingithurtsI'mbleedingI'mDYING!" The boy gasped out, his eyes filling with large tears.
"Canaaaaddiiiiiaiaaaa! Do something!"

Sealand started to push the broken glass and other pieces of garbage into a corner. This wasn't what Canada had meant by 'cleaning it up', so he go up out of the cabinet in search of a broom and dustpan. "I'm going to get a broom, stay here."
Before Canada could go two steps however, Sealand started to cry out in pain. Canada rushed back to Sealand's side to see what was the matter. Sealand had appeared to have cut his finger on one of the pieces of glass. Canada knew someone would get hurt, but this wasn't the time to say 'I told you so'.
Trying to comfort the smaller nation, Canada said "Shhh, you're not dying. It's only a tiny cut. We just need some peroxide to disinfect it, and a bandaid." Even though Canada wasn't a medic, he was sure that this was the right course of action. He didn't know what had been inside the test tubes, so it was safe to disinfect the wound. First however, they needed to wash the blood away with some water. Holding Sealand's uninjured hand, Canada said "We have to wash the cut first, come with me."
Canada looked around the room and spotted a sink just a few feet away. That would have to do. By this point Canada had forgotten all about the game.

Japan reentered the Common Room, intent on just passing through in order to quickly get to the hospital area. The more time he spent looking for Canada and Sealand, the more likely the two could end up hurt or in trouble. He reminded himself again that Canada was responsible and would take care of things, but if Sealand had taken anything from England (besides physical characteristics), it would probably be stubbornness. Japan knew England could be extremely stubborn, so it would be perfectly logical for his pseudo-son Sealand to be too, if not more so since he was a child. It was a little too much to hope that Sealand was old enough to have let Finland's or Sweden's sense rub off on him yet, but perhaps if a nation like Canada explained the situation he would see reason? Japan could only hope, though the hope was as thin as his current tie to his own common sense and coherency.
He stopped dead at the sound of his name, turning just a little too quickly for his tired senses. He managed not to lose his balance--ages of being overworked and overly tired gave one an interesting perception of when to give in to vertigo--and once the room came completely into focus again, he bowed to the other nation. "Ah, hello Seychelles-san. I see you too are looking for Sealand-kun." He paused, trying to gather his sluggish thoughts into a sentence that would both make sense and not cause the other nation to panic. "I recently saw Sealand-kun. He was last with Canada-san, and proposed that the three of us play hide and seek. I am currently looking for him as well."
He wondered if Seychelles would help him look for the two other nations. His inner sense of honor weakly chided him, reminding him that he was 'it' and therefore, the only nation allowed to search for the others until he tagged them as 'it' also. He had suffered through worse (like his endless hours isolated in the lab) and he could certainly endure the remainder of this game. Plus, the exercise was good for him; it was made very clear to him by certain nations that he could no longer do that 'hikikomori' thing (not a thing, but there was no translation that wouldn't carry an undertone of an insult). His fatigue screamed for him to get realistic, because there was no way he was going to survive more than this round of searching and running around without some help...or a serious risk of collapsing against the nearest wall in blissful slumber.
"I was just about to search the hospital, and then the labs, in case they are hiding somewhere potentially dangerous. Would you like to join me, Seychelles-san? I am sure that together we could find them a lot faster." Once he found Canada, he would simply explain the situation. Sealand might accuse him of cheating, but at least Seychelles would know where her charge was...and he might be able to finally make his way to his own bed to rest.

Sealand was led to the sink and his injured hand was thrust underneath the faucet. Canada looked panicked, and the small boy knew that he was worried.
Okay, so maybe it didn't hurt that much. But it did sting. the water flowed over Sealand's hand, and the room was silent except for the sound of running water. Sealand watched as the blood dripped away, leaving a small red cut on his finger.
He was just wondering what was on that test tube.

After Sealand's hand was washed of blood, Canada went off to search the room for something to dry off Sealand's hand. He also needed to find some peroxide and a bandaid. Crossing to the other end of the room, Canada found some cabinets that looked promising. Inside he found some paper towels, those would have to do for drying Sealand's hand, and a box of bandaids. He continued to search for some peroxide, but couldn't find any. Just some bottles of differant coloured liquid with wierd names on the labels and some neatly stacked test tubes and jars.
Canada knew that he couldn't keep the nation waiting long, so he traveled back to the sink where Sealand was, carrying the paper towels and bandaids with him. He would just have to do without the disenfectant for awhile, he could always ask Japan where to find some. Canada held up Sealand's wet fingers and tried to dry them off as gently as possible with a paper towel. Then he took out a bandaid, opened the packageing, and placed it onto Sealand's injured finger.

Sealand sniffed pathetically while Canada patched the boy up. With his other hand, he swiped it across his face, eliminating the tears. The fun was draining out of this game fast.
"Thanks, Canadia. M-maybe we should go back to Japan...." the nation mumbled. "We could play something a bit more...harmless..." He looked into Canada's eyes.
"But I don't wanna go to bed, not yet! We can still tons of fun!" The light was returning to the evening.

"Alright, let's go see if Japan knows of any games we can play." stated Canada. He had already forgotten that they were playing hide and seek. Were kids always this tiring to babysit? Canada didn't remember ever being like this as a child. Of course that was a long time ago, and Canada hadn't had any children of his own, so he was basically new to all of this.
He took the younger nation's hand and lead him outside into the hallway. They traveled back to the common room, luckily without anymore injuries.

"Sealand huh..."Seychelles thought for a moment before saying sheepishly, "Never heard of him!" Seychelles looked at Japan, he was half-dazed. Have he been staying all night long in the lab again? "I would love to help you find him!"She replied "Come on! The faster we find them, the faster you can go get some rest!"Seychelles said as she grabbed hold of Japan's and pulled him. "Anyway, there is no such rule of getting another 'It' right? I used to play this with the children in my island." Seychelles chatter happily while making their way to the hospital.
Sealand... I wonder how he looks like. Seychelles was trying to think of a chibi version of England. That made her giggle a bit. She they reached the hospital only to realise it was clear. No nation was here. Seychelles shrugged. She turned around and asked Japan,"Where else would they hide which is dangerous?"

Canada made his way into the common room, only to find no one there. He searched the room just to make sure, but he still couldn't find anyone. Japan must have gone somewhere else. 'Now if I was Japan, where would I go?' thought Canada. He thought that Japan might decide to check upstairs where the bunkbeds were.
Canada dragged Sealand behind him and headed upstairs to see if Japan had decided to look for them up there.

Upon finding the absence of Japan, Sealand let himself be led by Canada upstairs to the beds.
"How come we're going up here? Is Japan sleeping?" The boy asked curiously. "If he is, then he's terrible at hide and seek." He glanced at the bandage on his finger, eyeing it suspiciously.
so much for my hiding place, he sighed.

"no, we are trying to find Japan, but he is looking for us." Finding out that the bunk bed area was empty of the presence of Japan, Canada dragged Sealand back down stairs. Maybe he went into the kitchen?
Canada walked down stairs and headed towards the kitchen. He hoped that Japan would be in there and they hadn't just missed him. Canada walked into the kitchen and started to look around.

It may have been a mistake to bring the young boy to the kitchen. As soon as the pair entered, Sealand's eyes fell upon the full cabinets, the refrigerator, and both of those things meant...FOOD!
Sealand quickly wrested his hand from Canada's gentle grip, and bounded off to scour the room for anything prepared and edible. He started throwing open random cabinets to find something

While Canada was looking around for Japan, he had forgotten that he was still holding Sealand's hand. The other nation broke free from his grasp. He rushed over to the cabinets and started looking through them.
Canada thought that Sealand must be hungry if he was looking through the cabinets. What else would he be searching for? Japan certainly wouldn't be hiding in there. Canada asked "Would you like me to make you something to eat?" It would delay their search for Japan, but he didn't want Sealand to go hungry.
