South Korea wandered onto the relatively large training grounds. He seemed to wanted a lot of places these days, looking for things to do. Thankfully, now he did. Walking further into the training grounds, Korea felt a light breeze rustle his dark hair. His traditional clothes rustled slightly too. Korea wondered if his mostly-white clothes stood out at all to the zombies. Well, that was the case, it would really and truly suck. Korea let his eyes wander across the area. It seemed well-suited to training, something that he supposed he needed. He never got to practice taekwondo anymore, as he couldn't think of anybody who knew or would want to practice with him. And, as far as he knew, Japan and China used very different techniques, if even any form of hand to hand combat. Korea did have some weapons, but those were mostly things he had borrowed from China at some point and never returned. Taekwondo really did originate in Korea, by the way. Maybe there was somebody here willing...Besides, he needed training for the tournament that had been announced. He was definitely going to win, because winning was invented in Korea.

England had sat down against one of the warehouse walls to catch his breath for a while when he saw South Korea walking in. His eyes immediately lit up with hope, wishing that the Asian nation would acquiesce to training with him. Training alone was never all that much fun.
"Hello, Korea." he called, pushing himself up and dusting himself off. He then walked towards the Asian and put his hands on his hips. "What brings you here?"

Korea stopped as he caught sight of England walking towards him. While Korea wasn't acquainted with all of the Western nations, England was one that was quite hard to forget. Him and his cooking, Korea had heard stories from America. "Hm? To train! What else, da~ze!" Korea turned to face the blond nation and gestured at the training grounds in general, taking them all in with one sweep. "Why are you?" It was a question that had an obvious answer, but Korea inquired anyways. Maybe England would train with him, training alone was boring and one couldn't bother people whilst alone.

"I have been outside training since this morning." England scratched his head casually. "It got stuffy inside, and with no threat of cold winds today, I figured I may as well take advantage of it and train outside before the snow settled in." he explained, shrugging.
He then looked around briefly, noticing that they were alone in the rink.
"Were you waiting for someone? Your sparring partner, perhaps?" he asked, a slightly hopeful tone making its way into his voice.

"Snow, da~ze!" Snow was fun, though. It could be used to make snowballs and tossed at unsuspecting people. Namely China. "No, I wasn't waiting for anybody." Nobody in his 'close' family would probably really want to anyways. Tensions could get really high, even just being together. Korea tried to forget about it, but sometimes it was hard.

"Oh, so you're alone, then..." England trailed off, awkwardly clearing his throat. Well, it wasn't like he could get picky. Nobody seemed like they wanted to go outside, much less train with him, so he had to take what he could get. "Would you mind, ehh... Sparring with me a while?" he asked politely, unsure how to act with a nation he hadn't dealt with much before.

Korea perked up and the suggestion. It was always interesting to spar with people he knew little or no about their fighting style, England didn't strike him as a hand to hand combat user - or at least any formal kind- but appearances can be deceiving. "Hm~Sure, da~ze! But you'll have to watch out, because beating people was invented in Korea!"

"Of course." England rolled his eyes and huffed at the Asian's childish antics. "Alright. Weapons, or free-hand combat training?" he asked, patting his waist and satisfactorily noting that his trench pikes were sheathed and attached to his waist.

"Hm. I would prefer hand to hand, but being good at more than one thing was invented in Korea, da~ze!" Korea could always go ask Hong Kong if he could borrow anything from him...If he would let him. Maybe. Or a tree branch. But those were really hard to work with, as South Korea had learned from experience. More from the evasion than the use of.

"Well, alright. Hand-to-hand is the most basic form of combat, anyways. Besides, I guess I could do with a little weapon-less sparring, you know, to be able to defend myself if ever my hands get too slick with blood to hold onto any weapons anymore." the thought of it was morbid, but then again, wasn't everything in this grey, post-apocalyptic world? England knew he didn't have the luxury of scrunching his nose up at atrocities anymore. He had to chin up and face them head-on.

Korea clapped his hands together and nodded, despite the absolutely horrific description of exactly why he could possibly need to use hand to hand instead of his fancy knives. He took a few steps backwards, as it wasn't the cleverest thing to stand really all that close to ones sparring partner, especially when it was hand to hand. Knives were a whole other story. For one, they always seemed to disappear whenever he visited China. Hm. "Well, da~ze?"

"Well." England mimicked, taking a few steps back as well and rolling his sleeves, letting a feral smirk dawn on his dirtied face. "I think we better start before it gets too cold out." and he dropped into an offensive position, fists bared, ready to attack.

Korea supposed the smartest thing whilst wandering down to the training grounds was to have gotten his hands on something more suitable for fighting. The sleeves could get in the way. But, one could never tell when zombies could attack, so best to prepare for the absolute worst. He also took a step backwards, though this was more to take up the proper stance then to make the distance between them larger. Over the years, he had studied quite a few different types of traditional Korean hand to hand combat arts, as well as others, and they could sometimes, accidentally, blend together. It made sparring people trained in them confused, but made something interesting. Korea started in a more defensive position. One could never be too sure. He watched England, waiting.

England didn't break the silence between them, his ears paying attention to the slightest noise, from the whistle of the wind to the clicks of their heels on the ground. Slowly, he started moving towards Korea, taking small steps and keeping his weight on the tip of his toes so he could react quickly if the need arose.
Korea was going for a defensive start... That meant England could do the honours.
Without making a sound to announce his attack, he suddenly jumped forward and threw a right hook right at Korea's face.

Korea jerked backwards, using his feet as support so that he didn't fall over. He retaliated with a kick to England's midriff, his hands still held up to defend his face and upper body from any kind of attack that England threw at him.
